All of which applies at least as well to you as to MSH.

Is he offended? Did he express insult, disgust, malaise, hatred, sorrow, depression, disillusionment, horror, or any negative emotion or feeling towards this?

No, he found it hilarious. I should say "Your welcome". If he is offended, and says so. I will apologize.

That's the problem. You can't just skip the part where we actually discuss whether something should happen because you want to skip to the part where it happens. The discussion is the functioning part of that.

Which sucks because it is the dumbest part which ALWAYS happens.

The DLC thing doesn't effect me, because I'll just watch other people play and maybe get the whole thing together in a sale. :P
I would also like to state my official position that I disagree with everything Neo will ever say, forever. Kappa.

Anyway where's my snekdating VN.
Does this count?

All of which is a tad more impressive than day 1 dlc for a class.
Again, as umiman pointed out, it is not. The cosmetic pack is the only D1 stuff. There appears to be 2 announced DLCs that will be released during the north hemisphere summer of this year. Not launch DLC.

EDIT: For those with VPNs, you may want to know that the game is less than half the price in BRL than it is in USD. On steam, of course. While this is legally grey at worst, I have no idea on valve's stance on this, so use this info with caution.

Also fixed the quote accident.

As fucking stupid as this whole discussion is, that's a perfectly reasonable to discussion to have. People sometimes have things coming to them. You can't fix everything by claiming a moral high ground over stuff other people do.

Quote from: Stephen Fry
“It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so fucking what."

Physical harm is not equivalent to gettign salty on the internet

The thing is... Stephen Fry isn't right. He is just coming up with excuses to try to excuse himself from respecting other people's opinions and feelings.

then again he is a Comedian... so the fact that it is a joke is quite apparent. It isn't meant to be taken as seriously as people tout. He is tapping into people's general outrage of being censored by overly sensitive people who use their offense as a personal shield.

Which yes can apply to this situation.

Just an FYI that I edited some stuff into my last post (still in this page, at default ppp), however interesting it may or may not be.

Heck if you want the joke so much, why don't you explain to the person why this is a light-hearted joke INSTEAD of "Ohh your just trying to get offended". Why not show that it isn't mocking but rather telling a joke inspired by what they said instead of going "Well I could have said your mothers so fat"
We did, multiple times. The trying to get offended thing was often bundled with it because that's the reconciliation between "I am offended you are mocking me" and "This is lighthearted fun we're not mocking anyone."

HECK "I" would have moved the heck on. Yet APPERANTLY just pointing it out that you guys would immediately dog pile on anyone that was offended (accurately mind you) got me sucked in... because you guys are very predictable... and I would have even dropped it now... but it is kind of personal now for an unrelated reason and if I have to pay for a single post... I might as well take it all the way...
It's called talking. You're positing an unpopular argument, so multiple people disagree with you. You're being oversensitive and defensive, so you're perceiving this disagreement as a coordinated assault on your person.

This, in turn, invites actual attacks on your person because you're legitimately causing problems for yourself and impugning the motives and actions of other for no good reason.

It's a vicious cycle and the way out is to not assume the worst of others.

All of which applies at least as well to you as to MSH.

No, he found it hilarious. I should say "Your welcome". If he is offended, and says so. I will apologize.
To the notion that he should apologize and rectify the situation at once? I'd say he felt mildly insulted, perhaps disillusioned with your emotional maturity.

More to the point, why did your prior stuff about always being easier to blame others and why so important only apply if he's feeling negative emotions?

You should say you're welcome. You gave him a silly thread title. MSH likes silly thread titles. Your presence has made the world better.

That's the problem. You can't just skip the part where we actually discuss whether something should happen because you want to skip to the part where it happens. The discussion is the functioning part of that.

"You punched me!"
"Well maybe if you didn't aggravate me you wouldn't have gotten punched"
If it keeps happening, get better at addressing it.

For instance, the above is a perfect match to what you're doing now. If MSH hadn't aggravated you, you wouldn't be insisting he apologize and change things, since it's clearly his fault and not yours.

Does this count?
It... it is horrifying.
FLAT AS A BOARD 0/10 SHIT TASTE

That's it, I just don't care.
Then this discussion has accomplished nothing and will likely be repeated at a later date. If you want to make things better, you have to actually see them through. It's not a chore for no reason, it's the method by which things get better.

It is suggested that we get back on topic.

So, the slums look different than I thought they would have. I imagined something that looked like it was built by the sheepies who wanted into the city centers and where denied/haven't yet been let in.

Possibly with a bit of a refugee camp look...

Yeah, it seems odd to me that ADVENT would just let part of their cities fall into disrepair like that. I know they're far from perfect but I thought they were at least trustworthy in that regard.

To be honest that seems to be the attitude of most comedians, they have a high tendency for suicide or substance abuse....

Jeeze lighten up, there's no need to jump from one extreme of ultra sensitivity straight towards dog piling onto the guy with an unpopular opinion.

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.
