@SolomonJake @IGLevine It would be humorous to see burning units flailing in a turn based game such as XCOM xD "END THE DAMN TURN ALREADY"

In DF being on fire is pretty much a death sentence regardless of what happens, since the injuries are too bad and also they won't get in water of their own volition. However, the units in XCOM 2 will try and put themselves out. Therefore more complexity.

This is gonna be some hilarious decisionmaking if it's not a panic mechanic.

"Hmmmm. Currently on fire. There's a fountain directly to my left, but that Mechvent sure could use an assault rifle to the face. What to do, what to do..."

*idle animation rotates between writhing in pain and normal looking around*

The kitchenette mold free, you move on to the pantry. it's nasty in there. The bacon is grazing on the lettuce. The ham is having an illicit affair with the prime rib, The potatoes see all, know all. A rat in boxer shorts smoking a foul smelling cigar is banging on a cabinet shouting about rent money.

Nah, they don't writhe in pain. They just scream constantly while acting as normal.

Thinking about it, I legitimately want poorly looped constant screaming while the unit in question is selected.

Corollary: specialized responses for units on fire means more ways to set units on fire.  Flamethrower-mounts on sectopods when? :3
