He's the guy who isn't exactly worried you're saving him from aliums on a bridge.

Is it just me, or does it feel so out of place? It feels really different from the Muton, and the Sectoid, which are so... slimy, while the Archon feels clean?

That's the idea.

It looks like a crossover between Xcom and Bayonetta.

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

Eh, to me it looks like you take a standard floater and put it in a vaguely human styled shell. I suspect it looks considerably less "clean" if you get that armour off.

There was a *gritty* and *ugly alien monster*vibe in xcom EU, now it seem to be *humanize them even if it A doesnt make sense, B ends up anti-climatic*. For me art wise it is nice, xcom universe? doesnt have its place but well its only my opinion and im going to play the game anyway, i just hope i wont see them often as i hate them or hope we will be able to mod their assets and change the way they look.

that was a luky dwarf. I had one dabbling surgeon fail so spectacularly that the patient skull flew a tile away from the table.

DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

The design makes sense to me. Basically Alien PR has been at them.

^ Basically this

They're still technically the floaters we know and love, complete with anger management issues. The Aliens have just gotten a lot better at merging human and alien DNA together to get a good public image.
