All sneks that go rogue are terminated due to not having heatsink nanovests. If they have them, they are controlled/tracked (note the metal helmet connected to the vest).
Termination via fever induced by chesticles.

On another note.. maybe they aren't in heat (pun not intended) all year round? Who knows, maybe they only reproduce every 10 years, at which point the chesticles move to the nether regions and all the padding is naturally dissolved.

Now, I have a question... what about females and their ovaries? Where are they located? Do they lay eggs or give birth? Maybe they are marsupials and have a pouch where they leep the young? Maybe that's what the chesticles are? Hiding newborn sneks? CAN YOU STILL MURDER THE MOTHER OF TWO INNOCENT BABY SNEKS?

I may have gotten carried away there.

Either way, we really should try and capture a viper alive and unharmed, just to be safe. That will decide what to do afterwards.

Agreed.  If it has a hemipenis, that would... change things.

Regardless of its gender, the revenue from the pornography is the only thing keeping rebellioncom afloat...

Wow, I never thought that I would see the exact opposite of the out-of-context thread.

Do we really want to make Firaxis/Sid Meier to suddenly decide not to make any more games with non-humans or females?
Or they might just go and say "Ok, damn it, anything we reveal MUST be explained down to the smallest details to stop this"

I'm pretty sure that worldcrafting is Sid Meier's fetish anyway. The level of descriptiveness in SMAC is testament to that.
I'm sure that apart from concerns about how broad the appeal of reading a book in between the game bits is, we'd get at least a couple paragraphs worth for each autopsy/interrogation/whatever.

Possibly both. They'd find the actual ideas hilarious, but be horrified about where a pretty much minor design choice can be taken.
Admittedly though, the chesticle idea is great. If I ever make up a humanoid alien/fantasy race I'll try to put them just for the extra 'alien' and 'wtf' factors.

Also makes some swear words (phrases?) like [male organ]head a new meaning, possibly.

So... back to what the aliens are trying to do. There's a bigger threat out there, but how does making LBGTIQ Viper/Human/Thin Men genetically combined soldiers with... some sort of organs on their chests help fight against an enemy that Sectopods and Ethereals/Uber Ethereals (possibly in their prime) couldn't beat?
Are they trying to seduce them? Are they trying to fight by appealing to the Intergalactic Council for discrimination based on gender/race/sexuality/anything?

Wimopy is talking about the threat the Ethereals imply that exists during the temple ship mission.
