I'm more bothered by all the "lol wtf why snaek boobz". Who cares? Maybe they are snake boobs. No worse than argonian boobs or khajiit boobs.

It's not going to damage my enjoyment of the game in any way. Imma shoot those snake boobs just like I gun down the rest of the xenos scum HAIL THE EMPRA-er I mean death to the aliens long live humanity

Who's bothered?  I just think its funny.  I'll be honest with you here, I think the only people that are bothered are the guys trying not to see it or making up reasons that it isn't there.  The rest of us are just having a good laugh.

It's still going on 7501 posts from the first post about snake boobs.

Bah it's mostly a joke thing I guess.
But I have no doubt other forums really must have dug into that. Typing "snake xcom2" on google images brought R34-like stuff that I actually wasn't expecting so soon. I was trying to find the concept art to see if this was a joke or a real issue.

And seriously, these aren't meant to be boobs at all. The snakemen on the trailer moves like a snake..man...and not like a Naga.
I kinda wish it did though. At least the snek-hype would make sense.

Oh well, I always get too curious about memes.

All I see is people  complaining about having female aliens now and justifying it by making arguments over biology that don't matter anyway because XCOM was never realistic about it's science anyway.

Exactly.  It is *exactly* as dumb as those other things you listed.  I expect the motivations are *exactly* the same.

Sorry bro, they are officially announced as "viper ladies".  Even if you can make plausible excuses for the boobs, there is no explaining away the hips.  It's a brave new world we live in now, a world of snakeboobs.  The question is not "will there be snakeboobs", but rather the question is "what will you do when the snakeboobs invade YOUR pc?"

I, for one, welcome our snakeboob'd overlords.  I intend to welcome them with fully automatic grenade launchers, and whatever crazy death machine I can mod that moronic ninja machete into.  Maybe something like this:

How about that drone? Looks like we'll have drones. Maybe drones can shoot stuff, and use medkits? A grenade drone would be the bee's knees. Think they'll be independent like the SHIV or tied to the support guy?

Shit, I always assumed all the aliens were female.

Why does the new sectoid / human hybrid have a lopsided crotch bulge sliding down one of its thighs?  Why are there now MALE aliens?  What is this outrage?!

Don't worry puke, I'm sure someone will make a mod where vipers have no boobs, hips, or ARMS :P  They can also remove the teeth and abs from the sectoids.  Probably shoe-horn the ending of XCOM 1 in, too, somehow.  "lol 100 temple ships wrekt you" is good writing after all.

Though I'm still thinking that the Volunteer might dimension-travel from the victorious timeline to this new one.  There's so little to go on, though, no wonder people are "laughing" so hard about snakeboobs.

I hope drones are used by a support instead of making them a unit, and it looks like it.
But I'd only use suicide (self-destruct) drones anyways, because that would be OP and funny as hell..but they probably won't self-destruct.

Actually, it looks like they're keeping the two classes per class thing, so something like LW can come along again and double the class count without changing the fundamentals of the game design.

So far we have:

Ranger: stealth and close combat
The previous LW classes this stemmed from would have been Assault / Scout, which came from half of each of the Assault and Sniper stock classes.

Specialist:  medic and droidist (droidinator?  droidtroller?)
the previous LW classes would be Medic and Engineer, which would have been LW Medic or stock Support.

I am guessing that the grenadier functions of the LW Engineer or stock Support are going to be rolled into a new Heavy type class, but I suppose we'll see in the next couple of days.

Honestly, I expect all 8 of the LW classes plus Stealth and Droidadier for a total of 10, all mixed and matched into 5 new stock classes with different names.

And then LW will come along again and split them out into 10.

Whats odd is the idea of the specialist being a buffing class.  How will that work, exactly?  Do they mean covering fire and holo targeting kinds of stuff?  Or do they mean some viagra injections or something like that?

I think the hacking is even more interesting, though.  The idea of secondary objectives being dynamically generated is super cool, and should add quite a bit of replayability and longevity to the missions.

Or so I hope.
