"Ranger" is both a typical character class, and an elite military special ops person thing. In a medieval setting, "rangers" are distinguished by being trained in ranged attack before melee combat. In a modern setting where ranged combat is the norm, "rangers" end up being distinguished by being trained for melee combat.

More generally, a "ranger" is a nomad, a roving hunter. Stealth, scouting, and skill in both ranged and close combat are typical for the archetype.

In other words: he's the stealthy, shooty-stabby guy, that's why we call him a ranger. Sounds like Deadpool. Maybe even the aiming accuracy is similar.

So he's a Green Minion.

Does that mean I'm going to get my Rangers killed on purpose too?

WTF does this 'when' business even mean?  porn when?  ar3 when?

I looked up halflife trivia to find out what an ar3 is, and I get what dual pistols and machetes are, but what is this porn thing I keep hearing about?

And why do people keep saying "When"?  I cant even find it in Urban Dictionary, beyond the literal meaning of the word.

It's a silly vernacular for "When will this be provided?"
The joke is that people demand certain things without putting effort into the request, even forming a comprehensible sentence.
I like it, it's silly (:

Hehe I hadn't seen people demanding AR3's, that's great.  I can't wait for the mods.

I keep a few greens on hand for if I really need to do Stealth Stuff, but not usually more than 3 or 4. Greens are basically crappy browns unless they're swept behind some giant foe, and since I hate the Sweep Mechanic, that means if I have a suicide mission I pull out a huge troop of Greens.

Blues can be useful though. I generally find that they're decently smart if they're armored and Q-flagged in the back with the Reds. They run in, get smacked once or twice, brush it of and bring corpses back to Rez. If they're lucky they don't die, and if they do die another blue is likely to grab them.

...I'm going to find the Overlord thread.

The porn one is because of the Viper snakelady things having boobs/pecs and a wide pelvis or whatever, so they are a bit more sexualized than normal. This has got the... erm... weaboo? furry? scaly? BDSM? strangling fetish? whatever? community interested. Or rather, the general population is interested in when the aforementioned community will put out a porn parody.

I dunno when the 'when' thing came in, but it's probably from the shortening of 'when will we get' to emphasize hype/interest/excitement levels. It's just one of those internet slang things, I guess.

Also, what Rolan said while I was typing.
EDIT: Also, what 10ebbor10 posted in connection with the 'porn when' part. Damn it.

If in doubt with these things, just call it related to the furries and some internet-person will eventually correct you on who it actually is related to.

Apparently naga-fetish is a thing (as in, snake people)... so, its already its own thing.

It's a generally well-respected journal among its somewhat niche audience. You should go try and check it out of the library some time.

It's just "Porn when?" without the question mark.

Dual Pistols/Dual Machetes when.

I'm more interested in their panther-summoning misc item.

I've been far away from the news. Didn't know about X-COM 2. The hype, tho.

I liked the snake comic thing. This isn't even the third game, but it shall be the XXX-COM.

Sorry...
