Would anyone be defending it as artistic license if Mutons had two-foot codpieces on their armor? If X-Com armor for female operators had had literal breastplates? Or, for that matter, if Thin Men sounded like Agent Smith?

Those are the equivalent of a 2 foot cod piece? Well... If you say so.

If the Mutons had a quite generous crotch plate? Sure ok...

But if you search for "elder scrolls lizard porn", will you get useful information?
In a manner of speaking.

If we are fighting over what game has the most porn... It is Counterstrike.

Anyhow this REALLY isn't a productive line of conversation and you are treating this like it something created by Fur Fetishist.

As if both the Native American, Mesoamerican, and Egyptian didn't exist.

Sorry, I must have given the wrong impression!  I guess my joke *was* a bit crude, but my target was rule34 stuff in general.  Wasn't supposed to be about the vipers specifically, though it technically was.

I definitely don't have a problem with the vipers, though.  I (still) think their femininity is a sidenote to their more important attributes, like being stealthy and strong.  They could have been *SO* much more sexualized.  As for the biology, they're still aliens of course...  Though I still think the aliens have been stealing human genes.  The sectoids are a *lot* more human than before as well.

And ostracizing people over furry art is dumb.  I like anthro characters in a lot of works.

Absolutely and without the slightest shred of remorse. In fact, I would probably be calling for custom melee attack animations.

It is the Muton domination strike! A show of dominance from the superior.  :)

Of course it depends on whether or not Vipers are cloned anyways, not all of them were clones, mainly sectoids.

I was actually surprised at how non-sexualized the female xcom soldiers were.  They're not showing skin anywhere, dont have crazy boob-armor, or any of the usual tropes.  The voice actors dont sound like they're faking orgasms when they are injured, like some other video games.

But as for the codpieces, I thought the weird crotch bulge on the sectoid was pretty stupid also.  It's not as flame worthy though, so not as fun to talk about.  Some might argue that it is an artifact of hybridization, but my personal theory is that it keeps a secondary brain down there to handle its motor functions and basic biology.

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.

Wow, kudos to the EW guys.  I don't think I ever played EU by its self, so I never saw the difference.
