If anyone doubted that, the 5 Nights at Freddy smut showed them the error of their ways.

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

Fixed that for you. Lets just say there was some really weird stuff that spawned from the first game.

I meant the new snakemen. The ones with unlizardly wide hips and an affinity for constricting people.

Pretty much yeah. I loved that game.

The aliens sent a small scout ship to 'invade'. We learned all about their technology and showed them how good we are in a fight. Now they're ready to assimilate us.

I'm not taking anything IGN says as gospel personally because I can't stand them.

I would so like for this to be true.

Unfortunately, they're getting their info straight from the Dev's mouths in direct interviews, and they're clearly setup to be the official press outlet for the game.

Well then, I'll ignore their stupid story and substitute my own when I play. :)

So, basically we have been debating for who knows how many pages on what the canon should be?

well sure, that's why it's hype.  this isn't the "lets analytically review the known facts" thread.

Or maybe it is.  But when the known facts are this thin, we'd run out of things to talk about without a bit of unrestrained make-believe and wishful thinking.

We don't have much else to discuss right now. Information is limited.

I have it on good authority that XCOM2: Guerrilla was originally going to be about using alien genetic technology to uplift animal soldiers.

XCOM2: Gorilla

Not sure why they didn't roll with this initial idea, the concept art looks awesome.
