1. They can fire three times, not two.
2. Every single other class can attack multiple times / multiple targets for more damage and significantly higher accuracy. The accuracy alone makes the SPARK completely unusable in any ironman difficulty settings.
3. If you want to shred armour, bring a heavy or have people equip special ammo. I'd tell the SPARK to go equip some ammo but it can't do that or equip anything at all because it's worthless and should have been aborted by Shen. Oh wait, it was. Fuck you, Julian.

---

To be less exaggerat-ey:

Sure, the SPARK is somewhat usable but it suffers from the same problem the Ranger did at launch (and still kinda suffers to some degree, unless you use the long war stuff).

It looks decent but if you take it into combat you are actively giving yourself a handicap.

It's fine at lower difficulties or if you're savescumming (since who cares if you have low accuracy if you can reload every miss), but if you want to try and beat the game on ironman, you really need to think a few times before deploying this in combat. It just doesn't stack up and will hurt your chances.

Also they're super boring.

Reloading after every miss doesn't work because of how the game generates random numbers.

just use console command to give 2 action points and shoot again.  it's faster than reloading.

True, but the outcome is the same killing that 99% to hit that missed and spent about a minute to reload.
Or alt-F4 to reload iron man.

In this case, the only practical difference is that cheating will use up more ammo. :P

Nah, give your soldier 3 action points, free reload, and enough to shoot with a 2 move sniper rifle.

Or just teleport a shinobi for ammo-less slashes, teleport back, then re-enable squad concealment.

Quite far from kill 30+ enemies and complete mission and evac in turn 1.

Free action points is one hell of a drug.

I did one mission with the console where I missclicked and started without spending intel. I had rebels with me, so I used one of those with grenades to also destroy the loot.
What is actually hilarious is when you are on overwatch with superman activated. Your soldiers get a shot for every step the enemy takes in range. And they have unlimited ammo.

Ya, it's fun to use a grenadier and just turn the entire map into fire.

Finally finished my AnimeCOM game, beat up the Ethereals, and lost Mukuro Ikusaba, who's been my sniper and has participated in literally almost every mission XCOM run. She got shot by Ruby Rose, who was mind controlled by a NiceHair.

Everybody else on that mission got hurt, to include Tutorial Kelly bleeding out for the last 2 turns. Still, Mukuro is the only one who ended up dying.

I really wish I had pulled Fuu Inubozaki from the VIP pool before the final mission- I had made it a think that Itsuki would wear a mask until she found her Onee-chan, so she was still wearing the Android mask as she fought off two NiceHairs at once. But eh, no biggie.

I'll keep adding Animu grills to my roster. AnimeCOM will be bigger on my next playthrough.
