Dunno about those.

Another thing you might not know is that on the missions with a time limit and a fixed evac zone, if you run out of time, your soldiers aren't killed, just captured. You can end up with missions later on to rescue them, which is pretty cool.

Good to hear. Because I just had a mission in which I "succeeded" (assasination, not kidnapping unfortunately), but got my whole squad captured (the evac was one turn too far away  :( )  I lost some veterans there :(

Welp. I had two guerrilla missions. One which would prevent a mole from accelerating advent reprisals, another which would prevent an UFO event.

Should have prevented the UFO instead of the mole. Total party kill :(

And I hate stun lancers, I went for the blacksite mission (first) and two stun lancers both knocked someone out on there first "attack" and of course the drone-medic-thingy was one of the first. Add smelling-salts as item plox.

Stun Lances are just excessively effective.

It makes the aliens feel somewhat incompetent when they don't expand on this stun lancer technology. Heck the Berserker Queen uses two giant mallets and you know she would be better off with stun lance katars.

Since this is the hub for all things Xcom now...

I got Xcom2 from a friend and decided to finish the archivements in the first one for completions sake. I still need bubonic and impossible.
I tried impossible and... Jesus Christ.
I beat the classic ironman with little issue. Several soldiers dead but that's mostly rookies and a couple veterans later down the line when i had plenty of "spares" anyway.

But impossible... oh god i can't get through the first mission without serious savescumming and this is against bloody sectoids.
The only way that may work would be save scumming like no tomorrow while rushing for mimetic skin to break the AI.
And that's just to have a chance without replaying every turn 6 times.

Go watch Beaglerush's old Impossible Ironman series. Best way I know to learn the tricks for how to beat impossible for EU/EW.
