I missed the first half and am only just watching it from the start now), mod support in general is the in the middleish, and the intro cinematic is at the very end.

I find it beautiful that XCOM devs give the data to modders before the official release, just because they know that the modders will do the game justice. They aren't working for money, they are working to create. Faith in Humanity Lvl Up.

Agreed. The way nuCOM 2: snektit boogaloo has been handled has really bolstered my confidence in Firaxis as a quality dev.

I liked the guy since that time in XCOM: EU's launch where he filmed himself selling the game to people.

Why would I customize the imminently deceased? :P
I look forward to some of them surviving, though.  And with any luck, it'll be balanced such that they have an exciting chance of dying even in mid-late game (without cranking the overall difficulty).

You can go the other way - save the badass ones who did pull through. And then save them as Dark VIPs and assassinate them.
