Commander: Hmmm, I don't see the enemy around. Ben "Skullrape" Kowalski, go see if the civilians know if they're around.

Bradford: Uh, Commander, did you just ask Kowalski to 'get information' from a civilian?

Commander: Yeah, I- Shit shit shit Ben no!

I wonder if you can then use that to make an army of tame ones.

If not, mod.

I bet they would make a good hunting dog. If you can somehow convince them not to imgregnate the game.

Out of context that is a wonderfully, horrifying quote.

In context it's only mildly disturbing anymore.

Why wouldn't you want them to make more Chrysallids from filthy Advent scum?

Actually on that note, I'm also hoping for a mod to play as Advent.  Or EXALT, which would probably be easier and arguably cooler.

Play as Exalt against the Advent because they beat you to all the cool stuff first?

Well, you can already dress your soldiers up to look pretty Exalt-ish. Bandanna and all. Beagle did a whole squad of them during a stream.

I bet they would make a good hunting dog. If you can somehow convince them not to imgregnate the game.

I plan to make a chryssalid farming mod:

Mind controlled lids that breed (through advent troopers) would create tame chryssalids, that basically have imprinted on the MC or whatever. If their parent's controller dies, the tame chryssalids are untamed. Tame-born lids will be extracted alongside XCOM soldiers.
I'll add a lid habitat facility, unlocked by lid autopsy and some sort of advanced psi. This is where the chryssalids will be kept. When someone inevitably mods in live captures, capturing an ADVENT soldier will allow you to throw them into the habitat, causing you to either lose 1 or gain 3 lids, with a chance based on what kind of soldier you toss in.
You can take chryssalids on missions instead of other soldiers, provided you have a sufficiently strong psi operative along as well (ie: knows dominate).
Tame chryssalids will be available for base defense missions, much like how captured turrets are.
There would be a dark event that would immediately un-tame all chryssalids, initiating another base-defense type mission, where you have to save your personnel from the swarm of now-hostile chryssalids that's in the middle of your base.

Is this not the dumbest idea you've ever heard?

The internal mental battle between wanting as much XCOM2 as possible and wanting to keep away from spoilers for a better launch experience is tearing me apart.

I just have to last 19 days.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!
