That had better be later game than what that video indicates. I don't want to meet that while still wearing cooking pots and corrugated iron for armour.

Even in the original Xcom if you used the starting pistol with nothing but rookies you MIGHT be able to finish the final mission if you used 48 of them.
Well, you'd have serious trouble against the sectopods. I can see 48 rookies with the basic assault rifle, though.

Well... It only gets so many overwatches.

Don't be sorry, I wouldn't have seen it!  The sniper pulling out that pistol, with those shades, seems like trailer material to me.

Well, I hadn't really been paying attention to this until yesterday... I guess it's time to start getting excited.
Although I'll probably need to hope my friend ends up buying it for PC if there's no console version. :-\

No console version, it's a PC exclusive.

Here's hoping that they make a console version at some point...

How well did Consolecom do, anyway?

Consolecom

X-CONSOLE.
I'm not sure exactly how much X-CONSOLE sold, but they openly said that it sold poorly enough compared to PC sales that they decided not to do a console version of X-Com 2.

Related: Now that I look it up, apparently there was a Playstation version of the original UFO defense.

I hope they make a console version, I played both the PC and Xbox versions of XCOM and felt the console had the better UI. The games movement and free aiming mechanics worked very well with an analog stick.

Yeah, but that might be because, well, XCOM's UI was designed for consoles in the first place.
