The PCs find themselves, locked in a rather ruined apartment, trash covering parts of the floor, furniture ripped apart in some areas, and the stench of rotten food. No wonder nobody was here. Well, except for Mel, who was holding the banging door closed, separating the infected from them. Nobody knew what was wrong with these "people", but they did know they were not friendly. Mel was an older man, his head shaved, and his chin full of grayed stubble. He was also rather tall, and wide-built. Somehow, someway, each individual ((The PCs)), knew Mel. Whether it was because he was the local pizza shop owner, or that he often played pool at O'Donnell's bar off of 26th Street until the early hours of the morning, he was a father-like figure to them. Or to some, at least.

Oh, right, the infected. They're banging at the door, more and more being attracted to the sound.

Earl, not being one to waste time, runs to find heavy furniture to block the door.

There's a large, tipped over dresser. It looks well aged. Upon trying though, Earl wouldn't be able to pick it up alone.

[SOLDIER First]

Noah follows Earl.
"Hey, Mel," he says as he passes.

[Projeck37]

"Glad to see that you all made it in one piece... A bit ah... quicker with helping. Please."
The thuds are getting louder, and harder. Cracks are showing around the latches.

Isaac makes his way over to Earl.
"Earl, let me help you with that dresser."

With the help of Isaac and Noah, Earl is able to sit up the dresser. Seems there's possessions inside that were weighing it down. The trio begin pushing the dresser towards the door. Upon switching the dresser places with Mel, the door breaks off at the hinges. [5] Luckily, they got it there in time to stop any infected in coming through. Now they needed a way to get out safely...

Mel sighs with relief.

((Damn this game moves fast.))

Kyle Johnson scouts the rooms, checking for zombies and a way out.

Kyle goes and searches the only remaining room, which was the second bedroom. Inside he finds... well, no infected. But there's a massive blood stain on the carpet, and a knife with old, dried blood covering it. No wonder this apartment was so trashed... Inside of this room, is a boarded up window, leading to a back alley. It's a drop down from a second story window. A peak through the window reveals the alleyway looks clean of infected.

[SOLDIER First]

"So, since we're all fine here for the moment, why don't we all introduce ourselves? Unless you already know someone."

[Andres]

But there's a massive blood stain on the carpet, and a knife with old, dried blood covering it. No wonder this apartment was so trashed... Inside of this room, is a boarded up window, leading to a back alley. It's a drop down from a second story window. A peak through the window reveals the alleyway looks clean of infected.

Seeing as he has no starting items, Kyle grabs the knife, dries it on his clothes, and takes it with him.

"So, since we're all fine here for the moment, why don't we all introduce ourselves? Unless you already know someone."

"Hi everyone!" Kyle says while wearing a massive, shit-eating grin, though it seems a bit forced, "I'm Kyle Johnson, but you can call me 'KJ' for short."

[SOLDIER First]

((Drying dried blood on your clothes? ))
Noah waves.

"Well, I'm Isaac. I met Mel a while ago at his pizza shop. And Earl, I ran into on my way here.
Isaac attempts to come out as friendly, but his old rugged face will only get him so far.
"It's a pleasure to meet you bunch."

[SOLDIER First]

"Nice to meet you to, Isaac.
I'm Noah. I sketch and write a lot. Mel lets me hang out in the back of his shop some times."
