The bird will keep watch on the southern entrance, should my opponent return.  Pig moves to hex bird is in and sniffs the grass, trying to find out what my opponent is.  It then hides and gets ready for a charge on something coming out of the south end.  After it's ready, the bird proceeds to scout south, singing all the while.  Orders are to retreat immediately should something be encountered.  Aura vision is in effect, which should spot any creature hiding.

Salsacookies vs Devastator!

You sneak slowly back north trying to be silent. In your spawning chamber you find the singer. A bird, partridge to be more specific. Just normal bird. You cannot see any external oddities in it, meaning its mutations are either all mental or invisible.

 The pig manages to reach chamber where your bird is when it spots something coming from southern tunnel. This creature is rather odd. It's basically a skeleton, three pairs of different legs, birdlike head but oddly flattened and its bill partially fused together, preventing it from being opened. Its frontmost legs are longest, fingerless and more outstretched than others. Middle legs are like of sitting dog, walking on its elongated fingers ending with very small claws. Its back legs extend from elongated spine and appear more like insectoid, but with oddly wrinkled surface. In overall it is repulsive creature to look at. You would rather not be near it.

From its aura you can tell it is curious, it was definitely drawn in by your singing. It has probably a flair for language and this disgust you are feeling is artificial one. And despite of being a skeleton your aura reading reveals it has some sort of shielding around it, hard surface in spiky shape. Not sharp spiky, more of dull kind. Apparently it is trying to be sneaky, but as soon as it sees you (bird) its alertness level spikes.

Pig cannot see it, so it cannot see pig either. You have element of suprise on your side.

Bird ceases to sing, breaks eye contact, and screeches once loudly while flying away, going past pig and through tunnel to west.  Pig stops moving, and as soon as the odd creature is either sighted, or heard moving, charges it and attempts to stab it, if it's big enough, or trample it, if it's too small to stab.  Bird will try to pass through west tunnel, and then head through south tunnel from there, with the eventual goal to make it's way behind the creature, assuming that unexplored south tunnel from the middle chamber links up again soon.

well i was thinking i could bet they win the round rather than betting who would be the final winner and i would have a smaller reward if correct  as a result.

Yes. Trap them in. Fly to the opposite side of the arena of doom. Let the traps take care of the demons. Once the prize is alone, swoop down and claw the thing.

FallacyofUrist vs Toaster!

Problem #1: Finding rock big enough to crush his head, but small enough for you to pick up and actually throw it. Luckily Toaster doesn't bother your search so you can finish simulations about crushing his no doubt soft skull by time you find suitable rock.

Problem #2: The reason why Toaster didn't bother you is that he turned himself into a polar bear. You rock is now rather useless. Toaster is laying on ground, breathing heavily. Apparently transformation isn't without price.

Problem #3: Cold wind is picking up. You can see wall of white approaching from south. You might want to finish this quickly, your estimation is that storm arrives in three turns.

It's a shapeshifting ability, not all powerful Dwarf Fortress were-creature heal-lost-limbs ability. Which means your transformation is extremely painful as your broken bones bend and grow longer poking each other and flesh around. When it is finally over you are barely consciouss and certain that next attempt to shapeshift will knock you out.

Looks like FallacyofUrist is getting ready to pelt you with sharp pebbles.

Wind picks up as blizzard is getting closer. Thankfully your new shape is built to handle cold weather so it won't be a problem. But broken legs are.

Hawk132 vs Peradon!

That's what they do as long as you cannot order them around. I recommend having ability to communicate in meaningful way before summoning them next time.

The entrance gate slams shut behind you by itself and fades out of existance. Your party is trapped here now...

It appears Peradon was waiting on top of the pillar behind you. Now he flied to northward and disappeared behind a large obsidian pillar ahead.

"Go get it." Chaos Lord says to your taxi service provider. It drops you down, again not in gentle manner, demons are not known their niceness, and flies up after Peradon. Chaos Lord slithers forward and is assaulted by spike trap as soon as he enters into short hallway separating entrance area from rest of the fortress. The trap doesn't seem to bother it much. One of the lessed demons follows it and remaining two wait near you.

By your right as an owner you command this fortress being sealed and the gate slams shut by itself. That done you spread your wings and take into skies again. Flying feels quite awesome, wind roaring in your ears and rustling your feathers. You could become addicted into this...

After landing on pillar on opposite side you spot a challenger in your airspace! The humanoid demon is flying towards you.

NAV vs Illgeo!

You pull yourself a bit to north in order to give yourself better view range and then teleport to uncomfortably near a wall. Doors here are opened by your uglies so you can see into what appears to be central shaft the ship. You can hear franctic high-pitched babbling from every direction. Sounds like lunch is getting served.

Rolling the die! It rotates on air for few moments before snapping onto nearest metal surface. You got "Very good things".

A second later you feel supernatural power being used in two locations. One is about hundred meters to southeast and another just 30 meters to south. And little later you hear franctic high-pitched babbling from west. Enemy is near it seems, and you need more power. Perhaps you want to roll again? Multiple times even?

You begin singing with it, but your ability to do so is rather limited due your beak being partially welded together. The bird appears to be suprised by this since it screeches loudly and flies to west right away.

The skeleton begins to sing together with you, which suprises you enough to make your planned screech real shout of suprise. You initiate rest of your plan and fly west.

The skeleton doesn't come into pig's field of vision so trampling have to wait.

On afterthought this whole "being two beings" thing is quite weird. No matter how advanded virtual reality systems are, you shouldn't be able to fully control two separate bodies without having to suffer divided attention span. The two bodies come with their own sensory organs, and not for a moment you get confused with them. In addition your real human ears can hear faintly cheering of spectators in the hall event is taking place. So you are essentially three separate entities in same time, yet only one. It is slightly odd.
