Aura reading says "can perceive" which is vague enough to work on all kinds of senses. So little sagebrush skitters a little away from others with its insect legs before activiting its abilities.
The illusion you get isn't the total conversion you wanted, but still something more pleasing to look at. Ground takes rocky look, following shape of original landscape. Grass disappears for most part, remaining turning into small sagebushes, and yours appearing smaller than it is. Sea... doesn't change. Instead it becomes murky and dark, as if dirty with sand. Palm trees do not disappear either, instead they dry up and sprout thin dead branches.
((The key word here is "aesthetically pleasing" in case you are wondering.))

The tadpole hybrid apprears to be now a horned lizard, chilling in the sun and the bird takes form of a condor. All illusions of course, but more fitting into surroundings.

There ain't really much of sand to write in, so you just have to hope the god will have good eyesight. After scribling your message you summon the god.

The god that appears is unbelievably massive human, easily 20 meters tall. The features that set it apart from human are (besides its height) its huge head, double the size of human of that scale, and its arms that are actually gossamer wings. Its wings still have fingers and thumbs, letting it function as normal arms.

It looks down at you, squints its eyes as it reads your plead, then frowns and speaks with booming voice. You are certain the enemy can hear it as well.
"You mean those?" As it speaks it points south. You look at the direction it is pointing and see a great bird on the sky, sun glinting in its feathers.
"Fine. I'll help. What do you want me to do?"

Your sagebrush body detects the god and its aura reading gives you some results. Its powers are related to something constructive, something slowly destructive, something pleasant and something pleasant in different way. And as its size indicates, it is damn strong physically.

Dupliation of the roc is interesting to watch. It looks like a invisible mirror goes through the roc, reflecting it in wrong way until there's another nuclear powered cyborg roc standing next to the original.

While new copy of roc ascends up djinn walks west past trees trying to get full effect of the wind. It doesn't take long before trees are burning happily, satisfying your little inner pyromaniac.

The roc flies up and scans the island with its digital eyes. It seems pretty normal island as far as you can tell. Lagoon, two thick palm forests, small lake on middle. No signs of opponent. Nothing unusual.

Until the unsual happens. Large patch of land and ocean in north transforms into dried, rocky land. Ocean becomes murky and dark, palm forest dies in eyes and ground grows lots of bushes. And a giant 20 meters tall humanoid appears. The features that set it apart from human are (besides its very unusual height) its huge head, double the size of human of that scale, and its arms that are actually gossamer wings.

The giant looks down, then at you, points at you and speaks with booming voice.
"You mean those? Fine. I'll help. What do you want me to do?"

Djinn summons the Chaos Lord and asks him to murder the big guy. Roc attempts to see what the giant looked down upon so I can murder it later. If checking what it was means getting close to the giant, do not do it. Other roc goes northeast and keeps an eye out for anything alive.

Bird writes "Protect my friend the magic sagebush, and avenge my death."  It then flies over to the tadpole-thing, and rips off it's head, carefully collecting the head with the crystal in it's talons.

The sagebrush drops the illusion for the Lower God, but keeps it up for everyone else.  It'll also cover the writing with an illusiory rock

You hastily write your message.
"Friend? You think I'm stupid? Whatever. I'll do that." The "lesser" god takes literally two steps and he's already above your sagebush. He is naked by the way, which permits you see his gender very clearly.

You fly over to you and attempt to tear your head off. It hurts like hell, but you fail. Your skin is so damn hard that you cannot tear it apart. Hmm. This might be a problem.

The giant bird on south flies to northwest and another giant bird appears in eastern sky.

Roc can't see clearly what it was looking at, only a rippling ground and a smaller bird flying away from it. Well, smaller compared to you. Everything is small compared to you, except that giant. It really makes you feel small. It speaks again, clearly to something that was down there.
"Friend? You think I'm stupid? Whatever. I'll do that." It moves a little to NW and stands there eyeing your both rocs.

The other roc doesn't see anything additional. Various little birds, a small condor attacking its prey, some snakes.

The demon comes through the gates as soon as you summon them. Before you can beg it it looks you up and down and speaks.
"There was once a great demon king who said 'Drink the souls of the weak and usurp the power of the strong'. It really sums up our personality and goals. It is funny to see mortals following same principle. Makes me want to drink your soul..."

After you make your request it looks at the giant, whose head is clearly visible here.
"A lower god this time? That takes some serious murdering." After a moment of silence it continues. "Actually that might be hard."

The demon stares at the god, probably pondering it changes or formulating strategies.

Toaster vs NAV!

Luckily for you water is not very deep, just as deep as you are tall. Which makes it slightly hard to swim silently. Climbing up the wall and onto ceiling isn't particularly easy task for a monkey, but thanks to your suckers, hooks and what not you can cling on it well. Your movement speed is very limited, so no wall running for you.

From up here you can see the whole cave more easily. Turns out this is a small island in cave lake in island. The ruined building has open area in its center and five stone pillars arranged in pentagonal shape. Smells like occultist stuff.

And yes, you little cave horror, you can cling on the ceiling as long as you want. Though you should drop down some day on some unsuspecting creature and eat your fill.

You don't know where Toaster is so you can't target him.

Your legs are not meant for land walking really, you instead of skittering it is more along dragging yourself. You would probably do better in water. You reach the point where you can see source of light. On west is a large open cave with a opening on ceiling. Right under the ceiling hole is a ruined and rotting hexagonal building, 30 meters wide at least. It seems to be made of wood and roof is covered by dried palm leaves.

The notebook contains three pages. First page is titled Sonic Fist. It seems to be self enchantment. Second one is Heavy Fire, mid range attack, and last one is Zentol Slash, any range attack though notes say you shouldn't aim anywhere near you. Each page describes how to cast these spells.

Bird picks up the tadpole wholly, then, and flies at treetop level to the southeast, attempting to avoid the birds. (or make it look like it is doing such.)  If attacked, it'll fly straight at a bird-creature's head and smacks the tadpole into it's eyes.  If not attacked, it will continue southeast until it reaches the other side of the island.

Plant just sits there and hides its legs.

Tell the demon lord that he could kill whatever summoned the god along with any companions it might have instead, if he doesn't want to take too much risk.

One of the rocs attempts to swoop in and kill the bird (and whatever else that's near it (with the exception of the god, of course (unless it's in a great position to claw his eyes out)) that was flying away from the giant.

The other one moves a little closer to the god (not too close) and checks if there are any beings near him. It will then swoop in and kill anything that might be my opponent, while still trying to keep itself away from the giant.

Djinn moves north while trying to keep himself out of sight.

The sagebrush is pretty much indistinguishable from other illusions now. Only thing that sets it apart is the fact that it is sitting directly between god's legs. And under its three meter long dong.

The tadpole in your claws you fly southeast but are soon accosted by cyborg roc. It has four robotic legs, three robotic heads, middle one having two faces, robotic torso and tail feathers. Also left wing is partially robotic from tip. All robotic parts are tapered with radiation warning symbols. Metal feathers on its back are very sharp looking and number of them are upright like knives sticking up its body. Basically only non-robotic parts are lower body, right wing and part of left wing.

After few furious seconds of wild dodging you dodge right into its mouth, which snaps shut with enough strength to instantly kill you. The crystal on head of your tadpole goes boom and breaks one of its four mouths. During last moments of your life you spotted a forest fire in south.

Pray your god, because that's essentially all you have left now. The god sighs, clearly dissappointed from the fact that it has now something to do.
"Avenge or protect? Eh, whatever, they are all coming here anyway."

"Did you not hear what I said? 'Usurp the power of the strong'." Chaos lord says as it summons its underlings, the flying greater demon and 15 lesser demons. The horde of demons makes the forest fire you started go dim, their mere presence draining light out of air.

The roc goes after the condor who's obviously trying to avoid you and just trying to eat its lizard prey in peace. You grant no peace for it and after few seconds of dodging it flies into your open mouth. It dies in explosive fury as your jaws shut, breaking the mouth. It doesn't matter, you have three more.

The other roc doesn't spot anything living, just a lot of bushes along the coast. The god sighs as the condor goes boom.
"Avenge or protect? Eh, whatever, they are all coming here anyway."

Djinn walks north together with array of lesser demons, a trail of fire in your steps. The chaos lord went into forest ahead of you while winged demon flied closer to the god.

Ceiling isn't smooth, and there's cracks and bumps providing you some degree of stealth. As for ambush points those are really situational. Ceiling itself is very good ambush point as people don't often look up. Unless you are a shoggoth.

Best case scenario is where enemy walks beneath you so you can launch physical offensive. For hiding purposes that hole in ceiling middle of cave is probably best. Sunlight will blind most people and they will have hard time spotting small black leechman horror hanging from ceiling. And by inducing constant pain on them their attention levels will really drop, giving you opportunity to move into dropping position.

All the Sonic Fist seems to do is making air around your four foremost "fists" ripple. And one of the purple dots on the spellbook turns black.

You stop one the shore and look around. This seems like island in lake in island in ocean, but no signs of Toaster. The river/lake next to you seems deep enough for you to be completely submerged and boost your movement speed.
