Taft frowned at Korhal.

"Yeah, so, maybe I can't reach the top shelf. That's what chairs are for. And I'm pretty good at climbing. So it ain't exactly a setback."

: "Whatever, both options have shit odds anyway. We ought to at least better our odds by casing the place properly this time. Maybe send someone else out ahead 'diplomatically' to map the place out. Someone like canary-girl."

"Easy, we send Shilleka and me. Shilleka talks to the guards at the front and while they're trying to work out what the hell she's on about, I slip in through a window and case the joint."

: "If you ask me, the canary-girl can probably use her position and that sharp little tongue of hers to case at least part of the place cleanly without raising eyebrows. I don't know about you, but I'd rather not risk blowing our cover before we've taken every chance to figure out if the Emblem's even there. After that, we can fling ten skullbones at 'em for all I care."

Taft looked over at the blond woman.

"I know I can get myself in without any trouble," Julia spoke up. Even though she didn't like the risks associated with going back, going home, if it kept Shilleka away from planning she'd do it. "From there I could probably get the rest of you in."

: "I'd be up for trying the smashing thing, assuming this Emblem is being kept near a sufficiently large window. If not, then I guess we're stuck with sneaking."

Alaria raised an eyebrow at Julia's comment.

"Well, if you can get us all in, that solves that problem. In that case, perhaps it is best if we strike tonight. Julia, take what time you need to prepare, but let us know where to be at midnight. We should leave our mounts behind so as not to attract more attention though. Everyone else, rest up. If you're going to leave the inn, take someone else with you. Understand?"
