: "He's got a point. That said, we're probably better off talking."

"We sneak, obviously. So we got unlucky once. It's not like it'll happen again."

"Our chances of succeeding at that are really small."

"You think this king is going to hand anything over just 'cause you ask nicely? Hell no, people are greedy. He's going to keep it and probably lock us up for even asking. So we take it without asking."

"I agree with Taft. It's unlikely that they'd turn it over to us willingly. If we ask for it, the best case scenario is that we get sent away and defenses around the emblem get increased. We should steal it and get out of here." There was also the fact that, if by some chance the emblem was handed to  them, it would go straight into Alaria's hands. Kaltsar was not willing to entertain that notion.

Taft merely sighed like the weight of the entire universe was on his shoulders after Shil's comment.

: Every option seems terrible to me. But if we want to have a chance of succeeding we need to try sneaking and ignore any plan Shilleka comes up with.

"I'm for sneaking in too. It might have landed us in this mess, but it's the only choice that makes sense, really."

Shilleka staggered as if struck, clutching her heart.

: I'll give you that, you almost turned him insane. But a slight misstep or an accidental yell of annoyance might mean we aren't getting out of there alive.
