"Well, they're talented and get results. Usually. That kinda helps you to put up with a lot of things." The phrase hung in the air, as if something else should come after. Nothing did.

: "Talented? Sure, I can see that. How often do they get good results, though?"

"Well, we are kind of a group of thieves, so 'good' is a pretty subjective term there. But we had a fairly strong run, got what we needed to keep ourselves fed and equipped. That's good enough for me."

: "Well. When I said 'good', I meant 'not getting caught and locked up or killed'. But now that I think about it, what does a group of thieves need with someone like you around? All that armor can't be well-suited to stealth or climbing through above-ground windows."
