Finishing the stew, Kaldach simply stacked the bowl into the other two next to him and stuck the fork in with it before getting up and moving towards the baths.

"Have it your way."

Taft finished his second bowl and moved over to the fire, sitting in front of it and warming his hands.

Alaria came down from her room, carrying a small pouch and a set of maps, and sat down at one of the empty tables, stretching the map out and starting to look over it.

Taft looked over.

"So where are we off to next?"

[ZeroStrike]

Angus picks a sword and does a few quick slashes then thrusts into a pot of water knocking it over. He quickly picks it up and back in the table. Slowly puts the sword back and walks over to Kaltsar.

"So...If ye have the coin to pay for armor...that means we got paid and I haven't gotten paid yet. I should find the Elven Lassie and change that. Where is the wummin anyway, Kaltsar. That way? Some kind of Inn with some grub Aye hope."

[Sirus]

Keyleth went over to Alaria's table as well, examining the charts. Most of them showed areas that were entirely unknown to her.

: "What are you looking for?"

"Making a lot of assumptions there Angus." Kaltsar said, ignoring the man's antics in favor of fitting another piece for his set. "I don't think I let on to anyone, but I'm paying this out of a personal stash I've been putting together specifically for this. This isn't exactly a spur of the moment idea. Alaria has not payed us yet, and I don't think she will be soon. But to answer your other question, they're at the inn, yes. I'll be along in an hour or so."

Alaria glanced up as she heard two different questions about generally the same thing. Waving Taft over, she gestured at the map.

"Trying to get my bearings to figure out the next step. From what I know, this is where they dropped us off. That means that we're almost to the border, as is to be expected. The next step is the interesting part. Since we're trying to... lay low, we can't simply go through the border checkpoints announcing who we are. And since we're well armed... well, either we need to come up with a good cover story, or we need to sneak through. So I'm trying to figure out both that, as well as a good location to sneak through, should that be the best course."

[Sirus]

: "We'd better come up with a good cover story then. Sneaking isn't exactly this bunches' strong point, if I remember correctly."

[SeriousConcentrate]

Taft wandered over and looked at the map.

"It might be out of our way, but why don't we try going south and through the mountains there? They're right against the border and might not be watched as closely."

He glared at Keyleth.

"You get caught ONCE and everyone assumes you're the worst ever. Next time you fall off your wyvern I'm going to tell you all about how you shouldn't be allowed on one since you'll just fall off and die."

[Sirus]

: "Fine. You're the sneakiest person in the world. Can you say the same about everyone else in this merry band?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Don't know. Pretty much all of them are new. We'll just have to see. For all we know they're guarding the mountains even more heavily and we'll just have to turn around if we even do go that way."

[Sirus]

The human girl thought for a moment, then snapped her fingers.

: "Could we acquire a wagon in this village? If someone poses as a trader, the rest can be his or her bodyguards. We're taking the mountain path because we heard rumors of highwaymen on the main roads."

[ZeroStrike]

Angus tips his hat to Kaltsar.

"Thanks, Kaltsar for the information. Aye'll probably be back unless there be a vender ye can get a good book at. Oh and by the way Kaltsar, that armor, tills no match verse some ancient dark magic. Aye'll see you later ye skinny malinky longlegs!"

Angus head to the Inn.

Taft raised his hands, palms out.

"Don't you be getting any racist thoughts now. Yes, I'm a dwarf. Yes, I'll admit to enjoying wealth and the finer things. But I'm not a damn soft-ass, do-nothing merchant! Pick the guy in the beret. He sounds foreign, he could get away with being a trader from elsewhere."
