"So why are YOU using a sword that could decide to kill you, anyway? That sounds like a bad idea too."

Kaldach answered indifferently.
: "Because it hasn't killed me yet."

"Kaldach, you realize that, considering that thing just opened up Shilleka, if you keep using that sword... It will kill you, sooner or later, right?"

"If I didn't try ter do t'ings dat I couldn't do, I never woulda been able to use magic in der first place. Overwise I'd still be living with der goats in der mount'ns." On Kaldachs' responce to Taft, she nodded. "See? Dat's dere sorta thing. I ain't dead, so dat all paid off."

"It's just a matter of time. You roll those dice enough times and you're gonna get snake eyes. But whatever, it's your life, ain't like it'll endanger all of us if that sword plants itself in your throat in the middle of a fight."

Kaldach shrugged at Kaltsar's and Taft's warning and nodded at Shilleka.
: "There's a lot more things that'll kill faster than some unruly sword. That axe guy probably would have taken lives if I didn't stop him then and there. I survived up to now, I'll take my chances."

"Heheh. Dat's right. I'm so awesome, even dere magic does what I tell it. Don't need ter be able ter read to do magic." She said read as if it was an impossible task and triumphantly posed.
