Edgar got up thanks to Korhal, but he was still sore after taking his share of hits, even if he tried not to show it. First he talked to Alaria.

: *ugh* Well, for your first job, it wasn't that bad.

Then to the swordman that followed behind his charge.

: Kaldach, what's with that sword anyways? So far the only misfortune it brought went to that bloody mess those bandits called leader. I bet they won't forget about us now.

Kaltsar stayed behind the others for some time, stripping the riders of their armor. Most of it was shit, but it was possible to piece together something worthwhile from it all.

: "Oh it'll bring misfortune in the hands of others alright. Consider it a demonstration of how powerful they are when used by the right person." Kaldach tightened the strap on its sheath, "If you're not careful, that extra power that goes into the sword can be put into slicing the wielder instead. Hell, some say they have a mind of their own and choose their wielders."

Shilleka looked at the devil sword with interest.

"Huh. Give dat 'ere a sec, wouldja?"

Slanting his mouth disapprovingly, Kaldach still drew the sword from its sheath and extended it hilt-first to Shilleka.
: "Don't cut yourself."

[GiglameshDespair]

"Pssh. As if i'd cut meself."
"Is like... dere's a spell in dere, but it's all smellin' wrong. Like 's all messed up."

She carefully cut her finger on the blade and gave it an experimental, if somewhat wild, swing, giggling like it was tickling her.

"Heheh. Dat feels weird." She offered it back to Kaldach. "'ere, frowny. Yer can 'ave it back."

Suddenly as Shilleka started to hand it back over, she found the blade twisting in her hands, cutting into her side.

Kaldach snatches the blade out of Shilleka's hand before it does any more damage.
: "What did I just tell you?!"

: Whoa!

Edgar rushed to help Shilleka in case she was seriously hurt.

: ...Now I think you won't lend it to me in battle, right?

: "Not unless you feel like taking a gamble."
Kaldach stood next to Shillkea and pressed the bottle of medicine he received earlier into her opposite hand.
: "Here, take this."

Kaltsar finally caught up with the group, carrying a significant amount of armor. "What's going on? Why is Shilleka still bleeding?"

[GiglameshDespair]

"Heheh! Dat was-" she paused to spit out blood "-inter'stin'! Dats givin' me ideas, dat is." She paused for a moment and nodded.
"Also, yeah, dat really 'urts."
She casually sipped the medicine and began to happily talk about it.
"'s was like der magic was like gargh! when it shoulda been like nargh!, yer get it? Der sword moved on 's own, cos it was 'ungry, kinda."

: She had an idea.

"Just cos summin's a bad idea don't mean dat it shouldn't be done."

"I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it means, actually." Kaltsar said, sounding exasperated.
