She raised an eyebrow at the perfume comment though.

"I am sure I don't know what you mean. The only thing close to perfume that I've used recently is soap. Perhaps that's the thing that's offending your poor nose."

"Pfff, I stay clean. A strong smell is easier for people to notice, so I avoid it. I'm guessing you use one of those fancy-ass soaps with the lavender and suchlike in it rather than the plain everyday stuff."

That did give Taft an idea, but he would worry about that later.

"And yeah, yeah. We'll make sure you get all your little powders and soaps and things so you ain't gotta be uncomfortable just 'cause you gotta travel with us commoners. What a hard life you lead, princess."
