84. While crossing a bridge, a troll leaps up and demands you pay a toll.
85. As above, but while the troll distracts you, another one sneaks up behind you and ties your shoe laces together.
86. You come across an elf engaged in a staring contest with a patch of nettles.

Anyone willing to pick apart this lore I have written so far. Its far from finished, but its got most of the key points in it as far as I am concerned. As its not detailed Lore, more like almost forgotten lore. Mainly looking to see if its parts make sense or, no sense...

~-~-~-\\The Lore of the World//-~-~-~

Over a millennium ago, Asmara was that of a highly advanced world. The use of Magical inventions allowed the people to live a calm and free lifestyle with a ease of life attitude. Their cities glowed like firebugs through the night, distances that would have taken them days or even weeks could be covered in a few hours or half a day. Even the great seas presented little of a obstacle to the people. For the people of Asmara, life couldn't get any easier. But that began to change. At first it was small things, such as the lightposts that lined the roads flickering and dying during the nights, then it grew to things such as tools and items seeming to fail to activate or just grow dull and void of any magical energy. Then the Great Chariots wouldn't move and the Great Birds refused to fly. The Magic of the world was disappearing...

The Great Mages of Asmara attempted to reignite the source of their powers, with little to no success. All that ignited was that of their tower and library, a giant fireball that consumed all that was known in the ways of magic and with it many of the men and women who possessed that knowledge. Their attempt to rekindle magic had backfired and with it, a ripple spread out across the world. Magic all but died that day, and so did all communication to that of the Gods. The timing was perfect, to perfect to be considered separate events. With even access to the Gods cut off from the people, panic began. Hatred towards Magic Users rose unaccounted and those that didn't hide were tortured or killed outright. Anger and Hate destroyed their carefree life of highly advanced tools and constructions. Leaders fled or withdrew from the public in an attempt to keep what power they held while the people below them struggled to survive in a new dark world. Filled once again with the unknown and monsters...

Time moved forward and life adapted. The Anger and Hate towards that of the Magic Users was all but forgotten and had transformed into Fear and Wonder. Their skin now tattooed with blue lines that traced over their bodies like a spiders web. When they brought forth their powers it was to people that no longer understood its meaning. Magic was a foreign wonder now, something that was beyond the normal folk. They had adapted to the new world by turning back time. Back to the Darker ages where man tilled his own land and Horses were the mode of travel and once again the Great Seas were an obstacle to all but the sturdiest of ships. With some of the greatest knowledge lost many many years ago, things were left to be rediscovered. And the strength of a man's arm could earn him a life of combat and riches...

But even then, the Gods had remained silent. Of the great Pantheon that guided the people, not a single voice could be heard through their dreams or prayers. To those that wanted to believe, they found nothing to believe in. No miracles of healing or marvel of divine presence. The people of Asmara were alone. Or so they thought. Like a bright star shining in an empty sky, 'The Maker' came to them. Those gifted with the ability to communicate with 'The Maker' stepped forward and brought hope and security to the people. His churches rose around the world and brought the warmth of his divine powers and healing to the sick and lost...

Why does that end with an ellipsis, though?  It sounds like there's supposed to be an "Or do they?" in there...

No. No its not.
Its an odd habit formed from the way I speak IRL and how my mind fills in the words as I type, the long gaps I leave between thoughts or statements with vocal communication also get filled into text communication. I irritate a few people, but if you look at how I type and where they appear, its very much at the end of a post or a paragraph where I move onto a different statement or line of thought...

Unless a emoji is included, then they take the spot of it cause, well, can't pause when you stick your tongue out can ya. ^_^

Well yeah, I ellipsis too...But it shouldn't be in a lore document, which is presumably written in a book style that doesn't like ellipses.

Another level and Mythic Tier gained. Took quite a bit to earn it.

First we took a major bridge in the city we had besieged. Half the party went along the dried riverbed the bridge overlooked, to prevent the enemy from demolishing the supports while our army tried to cross. Then we went to the top of walls of the citadel, destroying the catapults that were above.

After destroying two of them, we heard a roar and were assaulted by a Red Dragon. It was a CR 15 encounter, even though we were only level 7. It had two initiatives, allowing it two turns a round. It never landed, and only one of our party had a ranged weapon with enough reach to actually hit the thing, even at its closest. It killed two people, one of whom was squishy and being stupid by flying right up into its face.

The Adventure Path called for a Chimera to come down, and specified that the Chimera would only fight in melee. But that would have been way too easy.

87.) A pack of wolves is eating a recently killed deer. They won't bother you if you don't bother them.
88.) Some wizard's cat familiar is in heat and trying to feed an aphrodesiac to a much larger wild cat like a lynx or a bobcat or an ocelot or something
89.) Two elves seem to be playing a boardgame in a clearing, except that on closer inspection - and despite the fact that thir game seems to be progressing - they never seem to actually move any of the pieces.
90.) An enormous swarm of panicked rats or snakes or other small animals scurries past going in the other direction
91.) A raven pecks at a corpse by the side of the path
92.) Shrines to two rival deities are located a short distance from one another along the path (really two seperate encounters, I guess). Both have been defaced.

This is about the Races that are not PC choices. So far I have only finished the Gnome and Dragonborn races. Dwarf (Dweorse) and Elves are coming...

The People that call Asmara home are a very complicated bunch. In the far past there were many Magical and Fantastical Creatures that were once major players over the world, but after the Magical Drain that occurred, many either disappeared entirely or have become a thin shadow of their former selves...

The Gnomes, protectors of the Forests, they once lived deep within some of the most magical forests, said to be made of Mana in all manners of the word. They sometimes appeared within villages or towns selling herbs and salves of great power that allowed a wound to heal without scaring or a single berry that could substitute for a days meal. When the Drain came, they returned to their Forests, an attempt to preserve their homes they claimed. And when the Forests themselves failed to survive, the existence of Gnomes became nothing more then Folklore...

The Dragonborn, creatures of Mana themselves, they were the greatest wielder of Magic. They were the first to invent and use Magic in the way of advancement for the world, their knowledge allowing them to create things that were out worldly and even more fantastical then the magic they wielded themselves. But when the Drain came, they suffered the most. Unlike the Gnomes before them, they had nowhere to retreat to, nor did they disappear. With their Magics draining from them in great amounts, they turned from the greatest to the poorest. Nowdays, seeing a Dragonborn is little more then seeing someone on their last legs, curled up in the corners of Cities, struggling to survive...
