How do you feel about tieflings?

They are definitely unbalanced (three elemental resistances in a game where elemental resistances are hard to come by, good stats, spell usage, and don't count as humanoids) and get by far the most out of their race then any race intended to be played.

But I can stomach them if you still count as a humanoid.

Just remember that you would pretty much almost always be part of the Destroyer faction (well, at least you would have a destroyer patron. You can still be neutral).

Or Skrit?

The Skrit are actually mostly fine in my opinion. Flight isn't a super huge advantage and has its own limitations.

The only issue with them is that the Flying rules in Pathfinder are kind of... well... broken (as in they don't work... check out a ghost if you need evidence to the contrary)... but I usually just combine the 3.5 flight rules with pathfinder.

My backstory, sorry for double post thought i had hit edit on the previous.

Tersuis was born among the wilds between land controlled by The Warriors and the lands of the Destroyers and as such knew struggle for daily life from a very young age.  His father, one of the long lived elves had fallen in love with a tribal farmer woman and together they had a small family that found love and contentment inside what was a neigh eternal warzone for bodies, food and land.  As he was growing up Tersuis was taught to fight with sword and crossbow so that he might defend his family's precious holdings however his blood boiled for glory and power; two things that would not be found in a small tribal frontier village.  So, late one night after word of the new city of Stetera had reached his village, Tersuis took up his fathers curved sword, and mothers crossbow to set out in the hopes of creating a name for himself.  Unfortunately all would not go well for the young Half-Elf, he found himself unable to easily relate to those inside the city and soon was wandering the slum districts in vain for he had not brought gold nor skills valuable to anyone inside Stetera.  There he began his training once more and in a few years had acquired many scars from back-alley fights, learned the arts of bluff and intimidation and as well the shadowy skills of sneaking, poisons and killing those who would harm you before they noticed.
Thus Tersuis, twice born of two different parents and cultures acquired the skills he needed to reach his goals and became a slayer of man, beast and monster.
