Check around to see if there are any Dilos other than he one I'm about to attack. Nope. Kill it, suddenly spat at and two mate-boosted (note the original wasn't) Dilos are on my arse. The spit wears off, the next spit goes past me. Wait! That doesn't count! It actually hit you instead even though it went past!

I don't know how you guys managed to get that raptor into the forge, but I had to tear down two walls to get it out.

Slightly wrong thread. :p
But yes, I noticed it as well when I logged on earlier (None of you guys where on so I logged out shortly after.), but was not sure what to do about it.

This game is 100% intent on not letting me get anywhere.

I got a Parasaur saddle, things were looking good. Random guy murderboners me despite all of us having a conversation, not ten minutes ago, about how murderboning isn't allowed on the server. Of course, can't get my shit back.
Then get a white supply crate filled with tools. Log off, come back dead.
Then run off. Barely get anywhere when a carno appears. It's chasing me, I can easily escape. 'What was that about escape?' the game says, dropping my FPS to 0 and not paying attention to the inputs, making me stand still whilst the shitlord murders me.
Then I'm doing well (managed to last 90 minutes!) Need hides for another Parasaur saddle. Lots of berries and tools, food situation's fine. Small group of dilos (four). Knock them out. SUDDENLY, TWO DILOS FROM FUCKING NOWHERE! They both spit at me, both hit. Now I'm injured and can't escape from them because of that. Take my spear out (that hadn't been used previously) and it breaks on the first hit. They get up to me and it turns out they're both mate boosted level 22 Dilos. What a load of utter horsecock. I CHECK THOROUGHLY to make sure I know where all the Dilos are since this has happened more times than I can count. I have NO FUCKING CLUE where the guys came from.

Being in a tribe makes things slightly easier. :p

How long do farms take to grow? I got 3 narcobarry plots and fertilized with actual fertilizer and not me shitting them. Foraging for narcoberries is a pain in the ass.

Foraging for narcoberries is a pain in the ass.

You only need to forage enough to tame one Trike. Then use the Trike to make hundreds more narcoberries in mere minutes.

The only real use for farming is to grow the crops you can't forage. Unfortunately there's very little information about those crops and the dishes they make, so I can't say if any of them are actually worthwhile.

Good think I tamed one already. Now I just need to level for that saddle.

How much HP is good for pets? I pretty much put all the levels on his HP.

Which means I have a choice between rapid boredom and rapid rage.

What is it about tribal life that bores you? Couldn't you just work in the tribe but do some things solo for the best of both worlds?

Tribes are a huge help in this game. Having metal weapons is an immense advantage too, all it takes is levels for that - metal itself is easy. Pikes are very powerful, metal axes and picks are good too.

Played around with the game for a while. Made a hut on the beach, gathered up a bunch of stuff...and then the game decided to have giant scorpions kill me and camp my hut. Bastards.

Anyone got any tips on fighting those things? Best weapon I can make is a stone spear right now.

Scorpions on the beach? I've never seen them outside of caves. They must really hate you.

I've seen one on a beach before. You can kill it with a spear, but the randomness of spear-breakage can be a killer if it is at an inopportune moment.

I just kept walking backwards while holding down attack, and it still almost killed me.

Early on I suggest slingshots. You can run faster than them and kite them a bit.

If you wanna go toe to toe, get yourself like 5 or 6 spears. Throw one, maybe two on approach and use the rest to melee. Also hotkey stimberries to keep torpor down so you don't pass out.

If you are not walking around with 10 spears you are walking around with none.

I usually don't make more than around 8, then I just carry extra flint and fiber on me to make more. Wood is really quick to gather with a hatchet so making replacements after each kill is easy. The weight of 50 spears worth of flint and fiber is less than one spear.
