Yes, mages should be able to spend 3 mana to increase their spell's Zap roll by 1, but doing this provokes a Luck roll: on a roll of 2 or less, the spell loses one Awk.

Turn Six: Critical Hit

Mizlan shouts out some orders to his minions, then moves towards the golem's head. As Harvey watches in fear, the golem's head is retrieved and handed to the golem, who trades an axe to Mizlan for it. (disorientation relieved) Mizlan looks for a bottle. (1) They seem to have, mostly, shattered. How unlucky.

(1) The golem can't hold more than two items! So he throws his head at Harvey! (4vs.3+1=4) (hit: no) Harvey catches the head then throws it behind him.

The yeti moans, but proceeds to raise his weapons, waiting for Harvey to attack...

Harvey bends down(1), picking up an adamantine short sword hilt. Promptly tossed away.

The spell impacts the yeti's weapons! Yeti Reaction(5) The yeti immediately throws his spear(5), but holds onto the axe. (auto-hit(it's being pulled towards him, after all)vs.4) (4+1-1+(3!)=7vs.1+2=3) The spear impacts. There is then an explosion. The spear is knocked away, but Harvey takes a rather large hit. (6vs.3) Harvey Luck(2) Harvey is blasted backwards, knocking the wind out of him in the process. (2) He slides along the floor, then fails to grab onto the edge of the pit. Harvey Luck Again(2) Well, there could have been magma at the bottom of the pit. It's just a long fall(many times Harvey's height) with spikes at the bottom. (Tougha: 3) Impact! Agh! (A wide variety of deep cuts and scratches, -1 to damage resistance rolls and dodge rolls.) (stunned, roll will next turn to act.)

Random Event(3) The fire imp realizes that it exists! Target(golem) (3vs.6-2=4) Surprisingly, the golem dodges the fireball!
