Yes, mages should be able to spend 2 mana to increase their spell's Zap roll by 1.
Yes, mages should be able to spend 3 mana to increase their spell's Zap roll by 1.
Yes, mages should be able to spend 3 mana to increase their spell's Zap roll by 1, but doing this provokes a Luck roll: on a roll of 2 or less, the spell loses one Awk.

An incredibly large number of matches. Not happening, though I have an idea: double elimination(one extra chance if you lose a match)

Btw, i'd like a system that lets us understand how far we are from our enemy, like a map of the place or something. Until now, we've been able to do whatever we wanted without really having to move, and  unraveller's char will be scary.

It didn't really matter much on the small disk arena, however I'll figure out something (ascii, maybe) for the other larger arenas.

Cancel whatever spell Drake tries to cast. If he doesn't cast a spell, then summon another beard flail.  Beard flail him aiming for his sword arm.

Sample Turn Eight: Sweet Taste of Defeat

INIT
Drake(2+2=4)
Mage(5)
Ecco(4+2=6)
Cain(3+1=4)
Oric(2)
SWAT Team(3)

Ecco dashes after the booze, realizing that he's low on mana. (5+2=7) He grabs a bottle, then chugs it. Mana refill get!

Mage is the next to act, summoning a second Beard Flail!

Zap(3+2=5)
Awk(5+1=6)

Another well made flail of beard and metal appears in his hand, and is promptly swung at Drake.

(3vs.6+2=8) (Drake reaction special: 5) Drake grabs the flail and swings it around. Naturally, this takes Mage with it. (2+1=3) Mage has been pulled onto the crate of booze bottles. And bashed a bit. (5+1=6vs.4) Ow, the bruises hurt!

Then Drake charges. (6)

(1vs.5-1=4) Miss.

At the same time, Cain is continuing his battle with Oric. He prepares another Antithesis.

Zap(2+4=6)
Awk(1+2=3)

The Antithesis shield forms around (4) Cain, surprisingly. That could have been someone else.

The SWAT team stands around a bit, then notices all the fancy magics. Bullets fly.

(6vs.3+1=4)
(3+1=4vs.4+3)

Bullets shoot into Cain. They bounce off his evil outfit.

Oric fires an Awesome Palm Beam at Cain, hoping it can break through this time.

Zap(1+6=7)
Awk(5+3=8)

A well focused Awesome Beam flies at Cain.

(4+3=7vs.6+2=8)

The beam bounces. (3) No splitting, though still it reflects. Oric is the Target. (5)

(5+3=8vs.1)

Obliteration.

(5(really?)+3+3=11vs.1+4=5)

(crit hit: (5)) Oric is sent flying. Out of the arena. He's gone. Oh dear.

Well.

Sword Luck: (5) The emerald does not spread further.

Sample Turn Nine: I'm too tired to think of a good witty turn name.

INIT
Drake(3+2=5)
Mage(5-1(crate problems)=4)
Ecco(5+2=7)
Cain(5+1=6)
SWAT Team(6)

Ecco is first to act. Cain is clearly the problem here. Thus, Laser Canon in D. (now charging.)

Cain notices the SWAT team and proceeds to apply obliteration. The SWAT team notices Cain and proceeds to apply bullets.

Zap(2+4=6)
Awk(1+2=3)

A remnant of Aether appears and floats lazily towards the SWAT team.

Bullets are fired.

(6vs.6+1=7) Duds, all of them.

Then an explosion.

(3-1=2vs.2)

(1+1=2vs.2)
The blast is about as powerful as a flash grenade. It has the same effect. (4-1=3) people are blinded.

Drake decides to hack Mage to pieces. (2) Luck(2 oh dear) His arms don't feel like hacking Mage to pieces. Cain is the Target today. (5) Thankfully, he retains control of his legs.

Mage jumps off the crate and double-flails Drake.

(6-1=5 and 4-1=3 vs. 3+2=5 and 4+2=6) One hits, the other misses. (2vs.5-1) Drake is unfazed.

Random Event(5)

Sword Luck(1)... (3) The emerald spreads to most of Drake's chest and his left leg!
