Poor plump helmet woman.. her cap all smashed up like that.

What could they have possibly done to deserve it?

That said-- Poke the raws a little, make them trainable as war animals (by removing certain tags temporarily), then see how effective they are at armed combat.

Behold the price of disobedience.

Haha, in all seriousness the poor things don't necessarily deserve anything. They had to be moved whilst the engineers expanded the 2nd cavern layer defences, couldn't have plump helmet men interrupting constructions or leading undead critters into Dwarf workers.

That said-- Poke the raws a little, make them trainable as war animals (by removing certain tags temporarily), then see how effective they are at armed combat.
They're quite frail beings. Perhaps giving them the ambush skill so they naturally pick up crossbows could work; they could hunt the undead and should they die they would not leave a corpse that could be reanimated. Shame I didn't get that breeding pair though, so an army isn't feasible.

...I just had a dwarven caravan come in for this years trade, pulled by a horse, and a dragon type creature I modded in.

After my dwarves smoothed the muddy tiles UNDERNEATH the subterranean crop plots, said plots become unusable.

I was able to re-flood the chambers, but because they were flooded from the aquifer breach earlier, that meant that reflooding meant blocking the hallway off, AFTER I have been carving out the rest of the fortress.

Long story short, this meant that several dwarves had to go without food or drink for awhile, while the section flooded then drained.
One dwarf aparently simply couldnt go without for that long, and had a mental breakdown and died several days later.

Curious.  Could you send me their raws?

I'll send you it once I'm done playing. I've got a great map going right now.

My mechanic just made an animal trap out of my carpenter.

Then it is your duty to clear out the caverns of draltha and rutherers and have that bone carver make crafts.

No see, he didn't make a cage to catch rutherers with, he made an animal trap to catch moghoppers with.

Hack their heads off and butcher them. That's the only real way to tame rutherers, through death.

One of the worker drones just produced this...

Not very appealing in its description page, but it's a mace (blunt weapon), made of lead (quite heavy).

Whee.
