An extremely bizarre thing happened:

That should be an outpost liaison. Someone dun goofed.

Do you still have an older diplomat still waiting to have a discussion? That was the cause last time I saw that.

I invited a human invasion to give the fort a dwarven death but my militia commander (one of the original 7) is the literal manifestation of fear and death. His forces were massacred but he killed each and every one of the bastards.

Yeah, the other diplomat is alive but is cowering in the underworld.

One member of my fort died; the first one ever to do so.
It was our lasher, who died while fighting a bunch of demons.
You shall be remembered, random lasher.

My tower for chucking goblins is done, alas 16 z levels are not nearly enough to kill them instantly, only break all their bones and make them vomit all over themselves.

Masterwork is also very configurable, so it's fairly simple to set it up so you can gradually introduce the new features (though most require new worlds).

Speaking of which, I had an annoying wax man wander into my site and start tossing wax at people. My marksdwarves were all out of bolts and the damn thing was fast, so one soldier chased it around the map for a loong time before finally giving up, now very unhappy and with a bunch of minor injuries.
Then it stumbled into a trap and was shredded.

A danger room has been built and all the things are prepared for a 30 level magma pumpstack. Now I need to design and dig the shaft. Maybe I do it later. Or not altogether. I'm so bad getting it right across z-levels.

Forgotten beast attacked. A giant feathered spider with wings. It didnt fly, but it certainly had webs.

I lost my spearmaster.

He will receive a golden sarcophagus.

Try this:
This will dig two successive levels of a pump stack, with up/down stairs placed at the cursor. The stairs are north of the pumps.

Wow, thanks, I'll try that. What could go wrong...
I already mined a part of the shaft with ramps, but had to rescue two stuck miners.

Lost like two or three dozen dorfs, but my borehole has passed the first cavern layer, im digging to the second now.

Its going slow, almost all my miners died to the channel under each other feet dwarven prank while i was doing a controlled cave in on the second cavern.

Most of my miners are newbs now.
