snow creatures should be relatively killable. Beating them will probably break away tissue, resulting in their death.
They have no upper or lower body, only a blob and a tail blob.

Anything will really work on blobs made of weak materials like snow or water. Had a water blob in Spearbreakers fall apart when apike broke away a lot of the "tissue." Now if it was some weird meat blob you'd probably have a problem until it bled out...

goblin siege with many many bow men as my blue metal clad dorfs  dispatch of the petty annoyance at my front gate suddenly a Fb decided to make its self known a fidgety might made breathing fir :De every ware lucky a war tiger was near by  he single handedly took it down ... So effin war tigers are the way to go

The dwarven vacation lodges have been a success!  With fine statues, an artifact bed, and haute cuisine, marriage was just a burrow away!  After dating for over 20 years, Edem II Claspletter FINALLY married his childhood sweetheart, Solon II Anguishedpages.

I'd never actually just leaned back and watched a full on tantrum spiral after a significantly failed defense before.

Right now I'm watching a Marksdarf get held down by his left ear by one of my haulers, and a child who's got a damn nice grip on his... tongue... apparently.  That's different.

The Turkeys really caught this one on the chin.  I believe most of my turkey population is dead at this point.  Somewhere along the lines my dyer got tossed down the well shaft where the reservoir was emtpied due to me building further improvements and is currently bleeding to death.

72 dwarves strong and we're down to 40 now.. and the Legendary Miner and the two Lumberjack dwarves just went berserk in dining room.  This should be ugly... hysterical, but UGLY! :)

The residents of Vault 75 have set out on schedule, 30 years following the Great War. With only an old map showing the locations of mostly now long-gone towns, an advance party sent to the remains of Eastmark, the remains of a small river-side Tennesee town, have decided to send their only eyebot back to the Vault to let them know they may be able to do something with the area, even if it's overgrown with trees, shrubbery, and there's piles of scrap needing to be cleared to build a proper settlement.

There were 15 when they started out, but the mutated wildlife has claimed several on the long road there.

But they have made up their minds. With only their leftover rations, crude weapons and tools scavenged from around them, some mutated domestic animals that tagged along for reasons they can't fathom and two drills they brought that were in sorry shape, they will try to bring Eastmark back to life.

By any means necessary.

Well, such miracles have happened before...

In other news, I managed to lock eighty (roughly) dwarves in a 3x3 room while one lazy bum grabbed an old pick and opened a hole into hell.
One fortress filled with lava quickly became one squeaky clean abode for roughly-eighty-minus-one dwarves.

Hailedmoon has been having a miserable time with child snatchers.  Being completely above ground means that the blasted things can sneak up from any direction and make off with a kid without anyone even seeing them.  Even with a dry moat they get in somehow.  The moat is being filled, which will hopefully help.

I suspect this wouldn't be so hard in vanilla DF if you took proper precautions with a dry moat, but in a mod where 1/3 of the invaders can fly they get in and make off with the kids without a single note until you see the announcement about them being kidnapped.  I thought the kids could see and alert you about them, but in .31.11 that doesn't happen anyway.

At least it makes each dead thief all the more satisfying.  As well as my soldiers surviving their first pair of ambushes without any deaths and only some torn up guts and a broken leg.

I am afraid.

I have a VERY Ecstatic Child in my fort.  The same fort that just tantrum spiraled down to 6 dwarves from 72.

This child is not just happy, It's 792 happiness worth of ecstatic.  If she grows up I'm making him the leader of my military forces, she just revels in bloodshed apparently.

Copperways has sealed the doors, at least until I see some migrants.  I've got one or two more crazy people I'm waiting to starve to death, and we're mass producing coffins with our limited rock.  One of my farming grunts got a piece of my miner and she bled to death after delivering a few brutal blows with her pick.  My other miner is sitting in his room rocking himself to sleep to get rid of the nightmares.

The turkeys went to war with the fort, apparently.  I've got over 30 fights with turkey hens. Considering they're penned up over in a corner of the fort that's a pretty impressive achievement.  Or was until some moron took the door apart.

That's the last time I use Giant Scorpions as my primary defense against amushers.  I'm going to try to salvage this fort, it's got a lot of promise still.

One good thing came out of this: I've got plenty of spare bedrooms now.

Well, the score looks to be gators 1, vault dwellers 6. Poor Cindy... Saved the Security Commander's hide but died in the process. Protectron skullfucked one of them too. Andrew Holt, said Security COmmander, did all the killing.

Sadly, Cindy was our group mechanic, so that'll set us back a little bit. Our metallurgist Alfonso suffered a negligible skin tear and got his right molars knocked out, but he'll live.

So far this is going better than expected.

I just crippled my young fortress by assigning military dwarf a uniform that replaces his clothes, without providing actual armor. So he threw tantrum, beat to death couple of dwarfs, and gone berserk and got shot by caravan guards. Now everybody's sad.

Cool, but wouldn't this likely lead to tongues having a '[SPEACH]' tag, and thus via necromancy we would have nearly unkillable reanimated tongues following necromancers spamming 'it is sad but not unexpected'?
