Whoah, I thought only humans could be were-creatures!  That's pretty cool.

I entered "cleanowned x" rather than "cleanowned X" through DFHack to clean up extra clothes.  Oops.  While all the civilians in the fort were busy cleaning out their cabinets, a siege arrived.

I had all 12 trade tunnels open and scrambled to shut all but one entrance to funnel the siege into a single killing hall.  I moved my soldiers into position, but then noticed that no levers were being pulled.  The lever control room is right next to the main stairwell, so it's usually instant, even for mass lever pulls.  By the time I realized that the mass cleaning was blocking lever pulling, hordes of invaders were already past the outer gates.  I rushed soldiers to the open inner gates just in time.  It was a pretty tense battle, but the only casualty was a war grizzly.  Thank Armok for 20+ legendaries!

Two forgotten beasts have been killed by the growing cavern hordes of undead. Right now one Forgotten beast, composed entirely of goshenite has been locked in combat with them for 3 months now.
I wonder which is stronger, and will they be able to withstand the fury of the Dorf?

Doc Tekkud has trained the first war boar; in a land where dogs never existed boars guard supreme.

The first überschwein is born. The last sows and boars who have failed the baconing are being slaughtered, the butchers' workshops lie cluttered with their rotting remains.
Why did you have to be such weak pigs?

War boars definitely sound fitting!  How well do they perform in combat?

First necro siege in a while. Due to modding, there is a thrall spine that is on fire crawling around as the last zombie. Any ways to kill it?

Atom smash? Dump into a magma pit? Mod the bones so that they can melt?

Give pigs [TRAINABLE]. I think no fort is complete without war boars.

These ones have no tusks, those are the marks of a wild boar. Still uncertain about their war-like capabilities, wild naked mole dogs are being bred to determine their combat prowess.

I think I'm going to like my new Baron, Ber the former jeweler. His first mandate? Pikes. Nice pointy death sticks.

Did you mod pikes to be native weapons?

Usually yes, but Masterwork has many weapons normally only usable by goblins, humans, and the biggest dwarves available to them.

EDIT: There now appears to be a drunian infestation that has thus far claimed an innocent pet dewbeetle and some ammunition. The militia is responding to this murder with extreme violence, as per dwarven law.

I'm currently enlisting peasants to join my glorious military. After employing the goblin arena to entertain my citizens and train my crossbowdorfs, I have come under siege by the elves. I only have 4 crossbowdwarfs...

Can anyone give me a quick rundown on modding crossbows to be slightly better melee weapons? I feel as though getting rifle butted by a solid steel crossbow would hurt like a mother******. I've been making copper crossbows and bone bolts to equip my new conscripts and I may need to employ mass meatshield/mass dakka tactics (a la Warhammer 40k Imperial Guard), and I would like to make my meatshields more effective.

Ah yes, the insatiable lust of corn and rice, clearly two of the most erotic foods.
