I'm reclaiming an old fort, and am being plagued by the previous residents.

No, they're not undead (well, there's a couple ghosts...)

They are, in fact, very much alive. All 114 113 of them. They're also members of my civ, but not members of my local government, so they're not citizens of the fortress or doing anything helpfull, despite living here and drinking and eating from my stockpiles. They're also using the tables when eating.

Also, one fo them just gave birth. The baby IS a member of my fortress, and is now crawling around, slowly dying because her mother won't perform any jobs, even picking up her daughter.

I'd rather not, because then I need to replace her armor and uniform.

Put her in a new squad that doesn't wear armor, she should still be able to take it off.

Pics and save now please. I want to see what I can do with those 114 dwarves.

I could have sworn armless dwarves could still remove their uniforms, either way I don't think it's possible to give non-spinal nerves a healing rate.

I always thought nerves were just a general tissue that included motor and sensory nerves.

Nah, unless it's changed since .31 motor and sensory nerves aren't covered by "nervous tissue" the only way to avoid nerve damage is to preemptively remove nerves from dwarves.

Savinga nd uploading the save could take hours. Half of which would be convincing my harddrive to save it.

That is a pretty awesome picture! :) Your dwarves have such tiny rooms, though!

On-topic: New fort is go! Uzolkulin, "Oilpalm". My main export would be palm oil, were that possible.
I haven't played fort mode in ages, so I am probably terribly out of practice... Let's see how this goes! :D

And with DF player luck, you could sabotage everything in the fortress, and nothing bad would happen, and a serious issue would arise from totally unrealted and bizzar sources.
