BunnyBunches the Rabbit-Hut
10) Planning - The Megaproject to Save the Future !!11) Beards grow tired, Bunnies grow restless
So last time I decided I need a megaproject to expand my surface dwelling as much as possible.
A GFGHOC hit a foul vapor cloud and now I think it won't ever leave the map.
Well, apparently I'm wrong. It does leave the map.
Apparently, when an un-living thing becomes a husk, it will eventually flee the map and grant peace. At least mine did.
Could be a bug, as now I have 2 separate groups of wildlife on the map, which hasn't happened to me before.
I'm happy that I don't have perma-undead on my map, it makes this megaproject easier.
Except, the undead chinchilla men think my unfinished construction site is a play-thing.
While the chinchilla corpse play on the jungle gym, one of the undead kia corpses steals the silver dagger left by the slain kobold thief.
Does scattered loot trigger Kias to spawn
And eventually these wildlife also leave the map. That is expected.
It's about time. Those things scrapped several of my construction attempts.
I had to open/close the entrance gate multiple times because they kept circling back to the dwarves.
One dwarf is finally able to lead the construction-charge.
When she goes out, the others get hope too.
And the first round of adding ceiling to the surface world is a success !!
6 pieces of roof added to the expanded Rabbit Hut.
...
Meanwhile, the inside dwarves continue their work.
Some are doing individual combat stuff, some are building wood furnaces/farmers shops/jewlers shops/leatherworkers in my workshop area.
And the miners are carving out a garbage chute that will serve its dual purpose soon.
...
The Mason Team (topside dwarves) are very busy.
A living skunk is my only frenemy on the topside, so everyone is working doubletime.
Some dwarves are so busy that they start wandering across the whole map while I am watching.
Do you have a deathwish ??
It turns out I have some unforbidden stone in the external migrant-tubes in map-corners.
They are trying to grab the stone that is far away and across the map, so I forbid all the unwanted stone and cancel construction.
They head back to safety. Let's try again.
Much better.
It seems my stonecrafter is the person to lay-down the last ceiling, however second inspection shows that I missed two tiles.
My armorer fits the last ceiling, and everyone hauls the bunnies to their new home.
Round one of the megaproject is complete !
