Attention miners:

Do not dig into warm stone under any circumstances.  Cave moss is highly flammable.

Do your part to prevent uncontrollable cave fires, practice safe mining.
Now, this is awesome. If handled carefully, you could easily setup entrance flame-cleansing room with some bits of magma.

You'd have to be careful.  There may as well have been a propane leak, the whole corridor went up so fast the miner didn't even have a chance to Cancel Dig: Dangerous Terrain.

Trying to get my highpowered Militia Captain to calm the fuck down. He just punch my brewer in the ribs and nearly killed him. ITS RAIN. GET OVER IT CRYBABY. Other than that, setting up my limbless zombie training rooms.

There is apparently nothing to stop dwarves from taking some cuttlefish and 2 bags of sugar and then making a roast with them.

He missed the part of the cooking class on salting fish of course.

A kobold got a lucky hit in on my mechanic which took out a motor nerve on the leg (unlike my awesome miner, who took a goblins arm off with a single swing), who then proceeded to get diagnosed repeatedly by my chief medical dwarf every few days for a year and refuse to do anything but rest. Well apart from get a mood and become legendary, just to add insult to injury.
Eventually I wondered if the fact that noone else in the fort actually had any medical skills activated was an issue, activated them all on my chief medical dwarf, who promptly proceeded to hand him a crutch and presumably tell him to stop whining. Good timing really, as the goblins just showed up, and while everyone's locked up safely behind the drawbridge, the water source is outside.

I love how, logically, these two statements should be separate and independent entities altogether - but you just know that they're not.

What's wrong with using magma? That's almost always the easiest method.
I have issues channeling it properly to do that method. I end up flooding the fortress with magma.

The first three Z-levels of my new fortress are 90% shale and jet.  So beautiful.  No microcline.

I can sum my last fort up in 4 simple words.

Haunted embark. Dead bodies.

Yep, that fort lasted only a little over a season before i had to abandon. I hadn't even gotten the first migrant wave yet. Hell, i hadn't even dug into the ground yet, i was removing the ramps nearby because i was gonna build walls around the place and so i removed the ramps to help make it so the only way in was via wherever i made the main gate. Cue zombie ravens and other types of birds, cue animals and Dwarves killed by those birds, cue those Dwarves and animals reviving again and again along with the birds whenever they died, cue FUUUUUU and abandon.

I have so much silk, I have 5 looms working continuously to try to keep the webs cut back. Too bad every single mood I get fails because they want plant cloth or wool :(

You made that sound like a bad thing.
It's fitting they be made into stuff the bastards wanted to steal in the first place.
Better would've been goblin bone bolts. shot them with thier own dead!

Not a bad thing just odd that they're doing it. It's also inspiring because if I can figure out why they're doing it  I can put those useless animal men to use.
