Hahahahaha, holy shit. :D

Holy fucking fuck, I'm deleting my old saves now and it's ended 1,71 GB. Fuuu, no wonder my c:/ drive was getting full.

Make sure they are compressed.

The bat men civilization in cavern layer one has claimed another fb kill. The thing had deadly spittle and managed to infect a few bat men before it went down. I was eager to see some random syndrome action, but all they got was a little fever and becoming winded. They all made a full recovery. This also probably means that I will have to let them live unless i want to risk getting their infected pus all over my soldiers.

I have 3 animal civs on my map.  ???
Plus I'm at war with the goblins. I've ditched in and got a little trap working.

Yeah, I learned that I need to elf-proof my fort in the first year.

Goblin Siege just arrived, four lots of Goblins, riding a collection of Giant Toads, Olms, Cave Crocodiles and Crawlers... and they had a few trolls too.

Traps dealt with a few, caged three of four more. My military met them head-on, and now I have five or six guys with titles like "the crystalline lands of Muting' and "the confusion complexity of Circles". Too bad I lost some of my elite fellas before they were finally pushed back.

Seven simultaneous ambushes. Well, probably six, plus one that showed up a game month later. Decided not to even try and closed the process, losing about an hour of work.
Actually, what happened was, they had apparently brought kidnap victims, some dwarf, some human, possibly they were the squad leaders, and the moment they appeared, the goblins and the humans/dwarves fought each other. Of course, the goblins put their rebels down quick, as well as chasing off an elven caravan. The rest either hit cage traps or ran off, except one squad that just stood there. Then, the seventh one popped up and one of the lashers one-shotted my expedition leader/broker/manager/bookkeeper.

Apparently my civ is the Perplexed Tombs and it's symbol is a forgotten beast.

While I'm setting up my cave-in deadly trap, I'm throwing stuff in the pit cesspool caverns. I was first hoping the flying one would rush right into my soldiers... but he doesn't seem interested in the slightest. Something else got the puppy I sent. So now, I'm just releasing war prisoners and half hoping they will at least wound a beast, if not kill it, in the meanwhile.
The first gobbo is, I found out, a cipple who lost her arm. Oops. Oh well.

I'm starting to ponder if sending the hydra down there would be a good idea. Maybe not good, but epic, I mean.

EDIT: And right as I finished typing this, bam! Another unspeakable horror of the deep! C'mon!

My dwarves are living out of the back of their wagon still while my miners dig out the sewer system. I still can't figure out why they're smearing booze everywhere they go. Did Toady make mugs useful for stuff other than trade?

DO IT. Get a video and upload it. If you use SDL, run the fight in legacy.

Huh. Alright. How do I do that? The video tutorial in the wiki is nor very complete nor up to date.

EDIT: and what is SDL?
By the way, it's too late for 2 of them FBs, but there are still two (living?) war prisoners wandering underground and 2-3 more unspeakable horrors around.

If you're using the SDL version, you'll have to download the legacy version and move the save over, as videos in SDL are bugged right now.

I just threw every single soldier (buck naked and unarmed, mind you) all 5 war elephants, about 20 dogs and 10 war dogs along with every other animal in the fort at a plains titan.

Every single body part was red, it was made of flesh but it just wouldn't die.

I am shoving immigrants into my Spiky execution chamber. The last batch had a kid that somehow survived even though he had broken every body part, including the skull. I immediatedly stopped the execution and had him delivered to my doctors, for scientific purposes
