but I'm FUCKING sick of things getting out of there cages.
what kind of an incompetent midget can't move a cage with a mountain gnome in it.
FUCK RAGE.

You cannot trade cages with untamed creatures behind. You cannot pit untamed creatures. You cannot transfer untamed creature to an another cage or restraint.

I beg to differ, I constantly pit gobbos, and as far as I know, they resist pretty well to taming.

They are war prisoners, not untamed (wild) creatures.

"The forgotten beast Eslim has come! A huge humanoid composed of blue diamond. It has a long, swinging trunk, and it undulates rhythmically. Beware its poisonous gas!"

fuc.

Any tips? And will killing it without destroying the corpse have any advantage? I know bronze colossi drop statues when killed, would this one's corpse be at all similar?

Nope, only bronze colossi leave an extra upon death.

I just caged a god damn giant eagle.
Completely accidently. :D
I only have 15 dwarves though, can you actually get dungeon masters in this version? (.18) or do I take off exotic tag?

so my entire fortress is rotting.

Evidently this deadly dust makes dwarves rot.  There are dwarves walking around giving off miasma before finally dying.  There are a total of 3 dwarfs unaffected.

This is insanity.

And his corpse still won't be valuable? I wonder if I could butcher it... Diamond pancakes anyone?

All right, I need some help here.  I want to try having only 2 dwarves for the entire fortress game.  How do I kill off the other 5 starting migrants without the two getting extremely pissed off and mechalonic?  It's beyond me.  :l  I've tried a few times, but nothing seems to work... I even tried using burrows, but NOOO, it didn't work either. :l

Put five of them in a locked room, where they will die of thirst. The game starts with them only being acquaintences, so there will not be the harsh penalty of losing a friend to tragedy. Plan on making a bunch of grave stones.
