Finishing defenses - almost done carving a tower into the northwestern side of the mountain I've claimed as my own.  There's only one entrance, so far, and it's across a double bridge, which has a 14 z-level drop underneath it, and leads directly to my barracks.  Impenetrable  8)

Woohoo, new embark, access to goblins and there currently a herd of elephants XD XD I want to capture them mehehee :D

Also my cat just slaughtered a hoarde of fluffy wamblers.
I looked at dwarf therapist and then when I clicked on DF there are 6 remains next to my cat XD

Working on satisfying the requirements of a capitol. I've got the wealth, and the token tribute, just working on paving all the necessary roads.

The mayor wants more bismuth, and I'm anxiously awaiting Fall's shipment of bismuthinite before he jails another worker. Survival rate in the dungeons is about 50% death from thirst. The guards just don't care.

Damn my stupid super efficient fortress.
So efficient but yet so impossible to defend untill the walls are sealed.
I have 10 fucking gnomes running around my fortress interupting and punching my dwarves.
I have 13 dwarves. Its not even winter of the first year.
