What about the Mini Giant Cave Spider Silk RIGHT Mitten?

I was reading the previous post and just knew that this had to be said. I suppose every single other person in this forum would have answered the same way.

I have two Dwarves left alive, no booze, and they're trapped in a room with no pick and the door has 7/7 magma behind it.

Yup, I'm screwed.

Yup, I'm screwed.

Make 'em wrestle each other and let the winner deconstruct the door.

I'm totally doing that.  Also, I'm now laughing like a homicidal dwarficidal maniac.

Which you are. Wait, change that to dorficidal.

About my own fortress: I have been channeling out a huge artificial cave and am currently building a giant Atom Smasher setup to destroy all the 20k+ rocks that are subduing my FPS. My dorfs were starving and dehydrated while building the 10x10 bridges but q-s-s helps.

Very nice.

But I think you should build a giant keep instead of smashing the stones.  Just my opinion :)

Also, fixed it.

I will build a gigantic green glass dome in there and fill the outside with sea water. Keeps are boring. Everyone does that. And I want to remove the rocks without having to wait an ingame century. The dome will take long enough.

Also, fixed it.

Fixed what? I can't find anything.

Green glass domes are nice too.

And you can't just build a keep, you have to make it new and unique somehow.

Easier said than done.

Embarked in a terrifying area with my normal setup.

Werewolves. No weapons available. I got to marvel at the surprisingly-effective medical system though.

That's the great thing about this forum. We can derail any discussion into any other topic.
It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

Ugh. The save messed up, the fort never existed.

I'm looking for the area again though, it was pretty good for a beginner.

EDIT: It's official, i'm a fool.

I could plant non-underground plants inside without the mud... And i've blanketed the entire map with 'gather plant', so i'll have the seeds for it.

I'm feeling lucky this time!

These are like air-borne crundles, right? As in, highly annoying, easily dispatched and nigh useless as a source of meat.
