Just found my first Cavern ever. Can't wait to train up at least 2 more dwarves (I have one equipped in Bronze armor with no weapons...fixing that) and send them exploring!

Also bear in mind that dwarves have their heads at a perfect height for a good face-kicking.
That's the great thing about this forum. We can derail any discussion into any other topic.

Crundles.
Troglodytes.
Elk birds.
bugbats.

In that order. From worst to best. But they are all very very annoying.

I'm not sure, but I *think* blunt force trauma to the chest area can cause that. Whether or not DF actually simulates this or not I don't know, but it cares about teeth so...

WHY DID YOU HAVE ME KICK THEM WTF I DID NOT WANT TO BE SHOT AT.
I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

I spent three years overdesigning my irrigation system for my farms, but eventually got it sorted, in time to kill some goblins, and a Cyclops. Lost a dwarf (engraver, don't ask). Doing fairly well actually.

No military, I Tend to be rather economic/Scientific for a fort.

the only weapons I have are in my minimal defensive grid and in boxes from what I've stripped from my test subjects.

This, obviously, creates problems in situations such as this where powerful enemies wish to destroy me.

Edit: Gotta love caravan Guards.

New fort, decided to train my doctor early before something horrible happens to my lil' workers. Problem, need patient. Decided to drop my useless cook a few levels to shake her up a bit. Once she meets the ground, she has 4 broken bones, 1 compound fracture and a torn rib. By some Dwarven miracle she survives, vomiting all the way to the hospital. Doctor dresses the wounds, sutures, etc. until he tries to put her on the traction bench... He can't move her.

(Nope, not yet...
Is she fat or something?...
Ah, screw this!)

So i decide to get some water from the kitchen, and when i come back, shes not in her bed, and the doctors not creepily standing on top of her trying to move her. She's gotten up to drink, and a yeti decides to prey on this weakened dwarf. It proceeds to pummel her into a pulp, until i send some migrants at it. Again, she lives, but is rotting in the hospital with no treatment, for some silly reason....

YUP, dying worker, lazy doctor, 3 migrants beating on a yeti that heals pretty damn fast... YAY!

Not unexpected, and somewhat intentional, but man does it ever look odd.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.
Quote from: Ze Spy
Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.
