Started a new fort, got myself pretty decently dug in, when the elephants attacked my woodcutter who was out and about. I somehow managed to save him, with only a broken leg and a broken rib, but now he's in my hospital and won't let go of his axe so I can get more wood. I have yet to strike fuel ores, so for the time being wood is my only fuel source and I've got about four or five charcoal blocks right now. I made a new copper axe so someone else could start woodcutting, but even if they are all idle and all have woodcutting enabled, no one picks it up, so it's sitting in a weapon stockpile for now I guess I'll make a military dwarf equip it and see if that works...
Edit: ...And that crashed the game for some reason.... damn. New fort again I guess.
Woodcutter was up around and about
Stomping 'round the forest like he staked it out
When suddenly elephant burst from the blue
And opened up a can of dwarf goo
Hospital sprung from the fortress door
And saved Woodcutter to live some more
But Axe glued itself to woodcutter's hand
So that the fortress could not smelt no sand (or anything else)
Military dwarf comes onto the scene
To wrest the axe from that crippled old bean
But fatal error springs from the deep
And drop-kicks fortress to a useless heap
So remember dwarves, this is good to know
Even if to you it just seems so-so
When building a fortress, watch out for Fun
Since it can happen to anyone
THE END
