An accident with aquifer caused me to abandon my fort that was around 15 years old with a lot of time and effort put into it. I didn't flood anything, hell I was building an artificial lake with it to get the water from it into the lake. The reason to abandoning was massive impact on the fps that I could not prevent even after trying to fix it with cave-ins. Only solution would have been to pump magma from the other edge of the map which I didn't really want to do (at least not yet).

So I'll probably join the "Are we there yet!? Are we there yet!?"-people and wait for the next release.

The ungrateful scum happy workers at Dedukvucar are re-routing the local brook, for use as a moat outside of their fortress.

Although I should say worker. The rest of the people seem to be too damn lazy to help have misplaced their mining picks.

I think this is where the DF-players-are-Hitler jokes go from being just jokes to still jokes but lose some of their irony.

Still. Someone has to open up a chain of McUrist's sooner or later.

Hard to count because the silly dorf women keep giving birth while everything goes to hell around them, but I would say about 50. Out of 90.

Also, my first ever fell mood! :) I had so many dwarf bones laying around that Urist McEmo just grabbed some of those and made me some fancy dwarf bone leggings.

DF crashed on me and I lost an entire year of progress. Not to mention I was writing a story to go along with it, it was ruined. Guess my dream of a lighthouse will have to wait till the new version.

While digging all the way across the map to get some water, I struck Raw Adamantine.  My first time!  ;D

I don't think I'm ready for a King, but oh well.

Butcher likes cats for their aloofness... I can swear, that he didn't before. One dreaded FEMALE kitten has adopted him already! And another one adopted one of my starter dwarves!!!  :o

turned invasions back on for my glacier/artic ocean fort. after making sure the only tasks any fools needed to do all took place indoors. have also begun to work on a project. originally it was a fishing platform. now its a 9z tower that slopes inwards. parts of which even appear elegant in stonesense, for certain values of elegant. have collected foolish invaders to use as decorations. or paint. war paint, for the floor. in shades of orc blood.

Thanks! I want to connect it to my green glass 42 Z-level Orthanc that's directly above the dining room. That way I can have them walk up to the highest point from (nearly) the bottom of the map.

So yeah. Goblin Christmas just wrapped up. The new trade goods are being piled, the goblinite is being melted, and I had very little Fun with it.

Now I'm pitting some higher-ranked gobbos into my magma pit to celebrate.
My philosopher is dragging the second one down right now...

Dwarven philosophy certainly would not support the Geneva Convention...

My retinue of nobles just arrived, gah, and I wasn't even slightly ready for them. I didn't even want the nobles in the first place. I got the countess, count consort, hammerer and tax collector, at least I have economy off.....

Not sure whether to go to the init and lower the pop cap or leave it as is and keep going to 200.
