I am doing a solo Bloodline project estimated to run at least 62+ years. I created a small region, with 40 civs and embarked from year 2.
I chose a mostly flat local that is part grassland and part desert and untamed wilds.
So this local map composing of 16x16, I pre-plan in a spread sheet to embark on a 2x2 starting from the corners and edges and spread spiral towards center.
I will embark on a new fortress outpost each year, and retire on the first day of the next year.
I hope that by year 62, I will embark on the 4x4 center of the local map with plenty of dwarven citizens I named to migrate in.

Single Non-Hetero Female, add “u” to the end. Aden > Adenu.
Single Non-Hetero Male, add “e” to the end. Aden > Adene.
Married Female, add “a” to the end. Adeni > Adenia.
Married Male, remove “o” or “e” at the end. Adeno / Adene > Aden.
Dwarf Naming Rule, Last Name
There is no set naming for last names, but I will try to use compound words to help indicate the dwarfs profession or moddable item preference.
Dwarf Naming Rule, Title
A dwarf custom title will follow the format of “YY[.S] First_Name” where YY is the 2-digit year of the embark, the [.S] is for seasonal migrant and not required for founders. For example:
“02 Bimi” means Bimi is a founder of Year 02, and a single hetero female.
“03.2 Urist” means Urist is a migrant of Year 03 on the 2nd season summer, and he is married.
Silverydestined outpost is the first expedition of the dwarven nation of The Primitive Silver. Is it located at the very northwest corner of the claimed territory composing of untamed wilds grassland.
The founders are military minded composing of two marksdwarfs, an axedwarf, two miners, a doctor, and an administrator.
Despite the prospect report of the availability of flux stones, no iron deposits are found. Fortunately, the founder loaded their wagon with hematite and marble, and turned the sparse trees into fuel to produce steel-grade weapons and armors.
The militia won attacks versus packs of giant gray langurs, and only sustaining some injuries. The cavern was breached in search of water source for a well and a hospital.
The Silvery Tooth tavern attracts Tesi H Axebard, a female human bard who is permitted to to reside here.
Silverbone outpost is an attempt of a road construction to link with Silverydestined towards west.
The founders however are more military minded than construction workers composing of two macedwarfs, an axedwarf, a hammerdwarf, two miners, and a doctor. Instead of bringing quality stones for road work, they brought along hematite and marble in order to make steel-grade weapons and armors.
The Emancipated Ecru Silvers tavern attracted a few human bards without petitions.
Multiple packs of giant gray langurs manage to steal items off the wagon. The militia won versus attacks, but loss a miner migrant from Silverydestined, and some injuries.
Silverbone accumulated stacks of the giant langur leather, but mostly spent the majority of the time digging in search of water found on the second cavern.
Silverspeaker the General outpost is inspired by Alkibiades who is a statesman, an orator, and a general. The outpost is located south of Silverbone.
The founders are composed of a doctor, a stone crafter, an administrator, a carpenter, a hammerdwarf, and two miners who intend to create a stone craft trading outpost.
The outpost opened The Silvery Post tavern; The Temple of Silver dedicated to Datan-deity of Wealth, Trade, Metals, and Fire; The Silvery Temple for any worshipper; and The Library of Silver of meager size.
One could argue that the outpost is a success with a functioning organizer, for they traded stone crafts worth over 2000☼.
A pack of four giant gray langurs came and harass, but the small militia won, with only one injured. The surface murky pool froze, so the search for water in the caverns starts which also leads to the discovery of native silver veins. The well is completed, made of silver: block, chain, bucket, and mechanism.
By late winter, the forgotten beast Ared Aredgalka has come and remain in the caverns. It’s a huge eyeless lobster with noxious secretions. They hope Ared does not climb up the well.
Silveryjewels outpost is inspired by Lilac-Tea who wants to blind the enemies with sparkling gems. The outpost is located south of Silverydestined.
The founders are composed four jewelers, two miners, and a stone crafter who intend to find as much gems in the area, cut the gems, and everything with gems.
Unsure if they are to trade away their precious gems, an agreement is made to create a stone craft trading outpost, and have their furnishings be encrusted with gems.
The outpost traded stone crafts worth over 6000☼.
A minimal militia was later established with copper weapons, and won versus the pack of nine giant gray langurs intent to steal the gems.
The Jewels of Deserts tavern opened early, but was furnished late because the bare furnitures made of yellow orthoclase and purple rutile are removed for encrusting. The place gleams of cut prase, rose quarts, clear zircons, and amethysts.
