Just hit the motherload of all time. Gypsuim. Gypsium EVERYWHERE.
And I mean that. I Now have both a Dolomite and Gypsum problem due to the tons of Gyspsum I have unleashed into my fort.

Also my Sheriif is now pratically a Dwarf serial killer.
Mostly because his way of dispencing justice is, Judge Dread style, Go up to the criminal and smash his face in with an Axe.

I apparently offended the liaison from the Mountainhome because the outpost leader died of infection while negotiating: how rude of him!

my first and only mood so far produced a perfect green glass gem. most worthless artifact ever.
also, the ambiance is through the roof thanks to soundsense.

My glassmaker went berserk after a possessed mood (I guess he wanted some kind of cloth...) and was gangbanged by elves.

(Yes, I embarked on an elven retreat so I can feel smug about chopping trees down...)

Before being pincushioned by my marksdwarves' wooden bolts (YEY, THEY WORK!!!), he managed to punch and elven princess's face inside her skull, tearing the brain!

I guess I'm going to give him a good burial place instead of the atomsmasher...

magma time for sheriff
Havn't dug deep enough yet to find it - currently trying to desperatly find an underground river so all my dwarves won't die of thirst.
even though they have thrown several consecutive booze-fueled rage-parties. Which said sherrif put a stop to by smashing dwarves in the face and saved having to rebuild my whole dining room, and got rid of half my frequently tantruming dwarves.

I found adamantine. I scout it out a bit to make sure I have a safe spot. Hit one square and BAM, a 20+ Z-level vertical shaft straight to hell. My legendary army fights them off long enough for me to block the tunnel, trapping three of my best dwarves inside. They died of thirst.

My three dwarves HELD OFF HELL LONG ENOUGH TO DIE OF THIRST.

4 consectutive ambushes and all but one of my military glitches to chase a snatcher...... the one guy left was in leather armor and had a no modifier steel crossbow, his kill count if now 35 goblins, and only one cut finger... never mind it healed on the way back.

So, wood bolt can kill now ? In .10 my legendary hunter discharged at least 10 quivers in a horse, each time he puked alot then fled when the hunter ran out of bolt... That smug horsebrain will die slowly, now.

I have just learned that you actually can have an unnamed fortress. Let's see what horrors will occur in this glacier fortress.

I've encountered lashers for the first time in 31.10.

Not only did they kill the merchant guards and a pack animal, but they offed two of my military ... and in the confusion they made it off with a baby.

I'm building walls all over this place now! No way is this ever happening again ever!

So I sent my militia against a goblin ambush.

They died, so I drafted everyone else and sent them on a mad rush. They killed the goblins, but only four survived the fight: Three recruits, all of whom are too injured and lying in the hospital beds and a soap maker who two years ago scarred his left hand, and is now missing both his hands.

...I didn't abandon, instead I watched as they all slowly died of dehydration. Then another goblin ambush came and put them out of their misery.

I feel bad for enjoying watching that handless soap maker get run through, but damned if they aren't the most useless...
