I guess someone's into bondage.  Then again, it's a goblin, I'm not all that surprised.

Maybe that's why cage traps works every time... monsters actually seek them out...

Arrived with legendary combat skills and pretty good physical stats.  And she's within 10 years of a male citizen's age, so I was able to encourage them to get married.  With goblins never dying of old age, it's hard to get matching couples.  And she's utterly fearless.

My first successful fort is in its fourth year now I think. I embarked on an island. Strangely, I did encounter liasons and traders but no thieves or ambushes.  I only have silver and copper so my 10 person/2squad "army" is running with silver maces and copper spears. Its also the first time I ever got the cloth industry running. Rope reeds and pig tails are produced en masse. How do I actively breed animals though? Id like to go into leather production soon. And will I ever make contact with goblins if I am on a lonely island?

Breeding is just putting two animals of the opposite gender in a room and waiting as far as I can tell, and no I don't think you will get goblins on an island unless that island has goblins on it. I am pretty sure that this is right but if I am wrong sorry.  :)

You may want to add floor grates, don't want a repeat with dwarves. If you did not include one, I recomend placing an acsses hatch to reach to bottom so those that lack climbing skill can get out.

Yeah. I think I can wall off the shallow end of the river. The it means no more fun watching liaisons/diplomats drowning when they are leaving.... :P

Ain't no party like a troglodyte party cause a troglodyte party needs floor space.

I think it was probably because as far as I know trogs can't open doors and the door to my training room is tightly sealed. He couldn't get to the party.
