The elves, who've always lived in the cold southlands of the world, Have sent a party north, to a warm swampy land in the shadow of a great cave. They spared few expenses, bringing enough wood to arm a small contingent of soldiers and enough edible plants and slaughterable turkeys, as well as drink and seeds for trees and food, to minimize thier chopping needs. However, Antmen and goblins to the south would eventually hear of the elvish prosperity in the north, and seak to crush thier expansion.

Will the elves of Shadowglen live long and prosper? Or will thier enemies claim thier skulls as trophies?

I want to tell you they were bad men, cephalo.  I want to tell you that with a better overseer the Fortress never would've gotten so bad someone would get offed in a pointless fisticuffs.
But the sad truth charlie?
It was inevitable.

Two of my front gate guards + eight war dogs, held off two ambushes long enough for my civis to get inside. Not one of the goblins died.. I told all military to NOT go outside. But I suppose the sight of the last front gate guard dragging his bleeding and mutilated body closer to the soon-closing gate was too much for one barely competant sword dwarf.

He was one tick away from the gate catapulting him into space.

And now was outside with eight dead wardogs, a dead guard, a guard about to be finished off, and somewhere around 8 goblins.

The sword dwarf charged straight in, stopping the guard from being finished off. Killed one, dodged another. A goblin went after the downed guard again. The sword dwarf would have none of it! He charged passed the three goblins infront of him just to back stab the goblin threatening his friend. Dodged a bolt, killed another goblin.

And so on.. Until no goblins were left. The sword dwarf took no wounds, and gained a title. The guard survived.

I made that sword dwarf go through #$%& as part of a suicide squad until I found that no matter what I threw them at, no one in his squad would die. Years later I ended up making him the military leader, Had a huge tomb made. suited him with artifact; 1 boot, 1 shield. Everything else Candy, with his candy sword named. I planned on having my adventurer come in and don his equipment, then invade the undead fortress in the depths of my fort, then pull the Fun switch.

But the mother#$%&r wouldn't die! And I wouldn't kill him. That fort was dying due to FPS..

So I had the now legendary sword dwarf lead his squad into the undead fort and do all of this himself. He did it with no losses.. But I had forgotten he couldn't pull the Fun switch.. So I just tunneled down unleashing Fun upon the world. He stopped them.. losing every man in his military, he alone stood atop the bodies.
"What the hell are you?" I said to the screen.

One of my miners just killed himself with a one-tile cave-in.  At least everyone else is happy enough to take his death without becoming unhappy.

Since we need to equip ourselves properly against the rat menace, steel production is underway.  Several units will be used for elemental weapons and those few genomes who enjoy the metal will get coffins made of the stuff, as genomes bury their dead with honor.  All other steel will go into the production of sturdy armor.  We have plenty of marble, dolomite, hematite, limonite, coal, and lignite, so we'll make plenty to spare at least.

Ok, so the elves have a major problem with thier nobels and as such I have to regen AGAIN and replace thier nobles with those of the dwarves, because something isn't registering that the Ranger commander is supposed to appoint the sergeants.

I'm building "LastSpires" an axe-shaped fortress defending against the endless elven war machine. Finally genned a world that's at war with the elves, also has most of the Fortress Defense races enabled. After the first year it's just a continuous spiral of severed limbs, blood and tantrums. Glorious.

Just fought of a Tigerman siege (Fortress Defence) that interrupted a human caravan bringing so much wanted trade. I slaughtered half of them through traps and a few squads and then watched them rout. A little bit later I found the last tigerman still fleeing from the unit lists. Apparently a few scratches isn't the only thing he's managed to pick up during his stay.

Discovered that my magic-learning system is indeed working in-game.  A glassmaker ended up learning how to cast Fire, so I stationed him across a non-accessible channel from an enemy.  He set it on fire handily, only not before it cast Poison on him.  He's now hanging out in the statue garden, vomiting every once in a while and then spending his time cleaning it up.

I hate Poison.  I guess that means I designed it successfully.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. That legendary+5 smash-peoples-heads-in-with-a-crossbow can come in handy.

The settlemnt of humans I have decided to lead is going to spread word of false wealth to lure the enemies of The Imperial Hearth in for slaughter. Yes.

That is awesome. Training them as Hammerlords means they'll do something useful if they get to close combat.
