I've got 7 zombie dwarves and a zombie ram in my hospital.
If dehydration and infection doesn't get you, your recently deceased room mate might want to wear your liver for a sock.

Told a worker to throw a piece of cheese at a farmer to get him to stop sleeping on a construction site. Cheese broke his back and shoulder, he needs surgery. He's laying in the hospital and a homeless man just decided to sleep on top of him.  Have I mentioned how much I fucking love this game?

Frosty Wyrm attacked the town. Everyone's held up in the church with lots of food and drink. The Wyrm is just chilling out in an alley, managed to sneak a few men out to rob the elves and then snuck everyone out to haul all their booze inside.

five migrants brought us over the hump for sieging and titan attacks to 82 people. HugoLuman's squad has a replacement Amkash the Dehanded, a 17 year old herdsman's daughter. I also founf his other squadmate does infact still have both hands useable, so any shield training won't go to waste. two elderly veterans, one a hoardguard (a woman who has thirty modbold kills and decent Pike skills) and one regular Swordrunt (male migrant of course) So the caverns will almost certainly be defended by older veteran Swordrunts/girls and hoardguards along with all of the enforcers and several extractors. I'll need to get probably another 24 uniforms made and 24 suits of armor.

I'm also considering creating "Emergency Response" teams made up of any otherwise uncatagorized or untrainined personnel with crossbows and daggers. Also Mr Frog, who'd been dabbling around with masonry inbetween weapon, flask, and armor orders, went secretive and produced a coffin. And my mayor prohibited coffin exports.

I'm not liking the predictions here.

Sent a strike force to deal with the wyrm, they killed it (somehow) but it got off a puff of dragonfire and now the entire map is on fire. One of the less skilled carpenters psychically knew that his masterwork, (a bin full of bricks) had been destroyed. He calmly assessed the situation and realized that all of his friends and family were alive, he was in the middle of what amounted to a great party, and that as he developed more skill as a carpenter he would be producing much more impressive works every single day. He decided he would just ride out the storm and thank the gods nobody was hurt. Ha! Seriously though he strangled a baby then punched a goat before a dog ate his head. In his defense it was a pretty sweet bin.

Cut off the arms, that should fix it. Or kill the thing.

I'm atom smashingher fucking right glove and leather mitten.

And her good hand getting cut off is what caused this in the first place.

EDIT: The yearly  spring crap delivery came and, well, the soldier I named after HugoLuman scares me. He bisected a horse with a longsword and those aren't long enough to do that. He's one badass half cripple.

Also two mantis women were caught up in the mess and both got bisected by a 13 year old Swordrunt.

Resettling back into my old haunt after reclaiming the fortress of The Maze of Glory.

Had to consult with the greater minds of the DFhack thread to get all the dwarves back to being members of my civ like they should, but now that that's over I've got a population of 157 within a week after embarking. Minus two who were drained of blood by the local vampire before I could lock it away again. Back to your bookkeeping duties with ye, night creature!

Except that none of the old dwarves can be appointed to noble/military positions... Uh-oh.

Still no modbolds. Last goblin was pitch to his death mid winter. Elves dead, horses turned into food and mill bags. Oh,a nd di I mention the elves left me a grizzley bear? Gues who's pack leader now pit dogs!

Also this means I have cloth to make replacment uniforms when the current issue ones wear out.

Hmm. Maybe opening all the caverns with 11 dwarves and no military wasn't such a great idea after all.

Edit: Bloody hell, I have never in my DF career had dwarves as worthless as these. Having a few limbs bit off by alligators in understandable, rutherers are quite scary, and if a fort gets wiped out by goblins it's most likely my fault rather than that of the dwarves, but... For heaven's sake, Trogolodytes?! TROGOLODYTES are wiping out my fortress?! Grah. Man up and kill them you worthless pansies. >:(

The miner(s) would fare relativly well against them.

And, this has never happened to me as a human settlement....

An exploratory shaft looking for ore vieves found that by ccident and I built a kimberlite and iron bridge to it. I am now mining out all that DFhack tells me I may mine out.

My warriors will battle modbolddom with the finiest in edged weapons, this much is certain.

EDIT: Thanks to a magma crab taking a potshot at him while he was building a safe magam smelting site (humans can build hem it seems) Broseph Stalin, Fortress COmmisar, has fallen to his death in the magama sea. Thankfully I have stone a plenty and I will make him an ash glazed porcelien memorial in honor of his service. I'm taking Mr Frog of building detail to avoid my only smith meeting such a fate.
