One of my dwarven children had its berzerk button pressed when it hit 2 and found it wasn't clothed picked up and threw a slate block hitting my armorer in the face killing him.. now i understand why so many dwarves seem to have a dwarf kill in their past..... what FUN

addendum
the dwarf killed was her mother. hahahhahahahha this really shouldn't make me laugh as hard as it does

2nd addendum

DK advisor quote was the message thingy of DF with: "Uric Glodson does a wonderful impression of the baron, he can even do the nose. He has been sentenced to 40 hammerstrikes for his insolence."

Rakust Oddomlar, Weaponsmith (and Anvilring's Legendary Weaponsmith) has created Sheriktan, a steel battle axe!

Basic value:  160800*

Sheriktan (Perplextick), a steel battle axe

This is a steel battle axe.  All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality.  It is encircled with bands of steel and copper.

Yay for artifact steel battle axes!

As I am leveling my weaponsmith on cheap copper weapons, my hammerpimp has decided that the best course of action to deal with a thief, is to push the little guy down a hill and strangle him to death.

Dear god are these .34 dorfs psychotic.

Accidently melted a woodcutter. That's gonna be fun to deal with.

EDIT: Yeah, time to abandon. Forges are flooding a dog died, and a woodworker was melted. Good run all things considered.

Yeah.... I tried to to wall in the flood, and that was what led to the dog dying(belonged to a recently drafted migrant)

As you would imagine, it didn't work.

It isn't fun until the dwarves are fleeing in terror

I'm fiddling with a fort in 34.06 for the first time and working on a small project that I might share once it's done.

I went into worldgen, made the minimum rainfall 100 and the max 100, and genned. I didn't expect to get an embarkable world, but I somehow did.

What the shit?! ???
My food production just ground to a complete halt, despite there being plenty of animals with slaughter pending, a ton of seeds and plenty of room to plant them, as well as more wild plants to gather than you can shake a -fungiwood training spear- at.
Apparently, every single food industry worker just decided to go on strike or something.

The resulting starvation spiral ended the fort. Brought low by the bloody Dwarven Labor Union, of all things...  >:(

Oh well, if at first you don't succeed... *shrugs*

Certainly you could argue that DF is a lot like The Sims, only... you know... with more vomit and decapitation.
If you launch a wooden mine cart towards the ocean at a sufficient speed, you can have your entire dwarf sail away in an ark.

34.05

Hell conquered.
No traps, no cave ins, no obsidian or ice casting.
Pure military might.
1 dwarf death; my useless haul dwarf turned miner.
~30 bear/other pet deaths.
No serious injuries.

Dwarf Fortress status: Won.

EDIT: Hey cool, I didn't know demons were butcherable.

Tonight we dine in hell, on hell.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Looking through legends mode, there was a god in the shape of a giant bat, mostly worshipped by humans, who had a habit of cursing them into were sheep... Oh the indignity. He also cursed someone to become a rat, some giraffes and a bear.

some of those gods are real curse spammers....

what was that movie again with the carnivorous sheep?
