Great show, Sting. I'm gonna check if it's out on Bly ray yet...

It's on Netflix, and I think it's on Hulu too.
And YouTube!

Oh yeah, that's right! It's public domain now, isn't it?

Scavenger diplomat showed up. I had my military gut him, stomp him, and slice open his leg and then I called them off so he could limp back home to tell them exactly what happened in the delightfully named Slaptowns. There are only two kinds of people, the kind who bring cloth to Slaptowns an the kind who should stay away.

That is funny. What mod is this?

Genesis, it's a total overhaul. New races, new enemies, new metals it's just all around awesomeness.

I just might have to get that.

About my fort:

I tried to make a bath that filters water through constantly.

You probably know the rest... failed spectacularly and almost flooded 2/3rds of my fort.

Nothing is happening in Tworampart. It's year five now and I've had no sieges yet, despite being at war with both goblins and elves. Just one measly ambush. It's driving me crazy. I've built practically everything there is to build, all that's left is a magma pump stack that frankly I don't even need and perhaps an improved cistern, or maybe a mist generator.

It's a vanilla world, default world gen settings, and vanilla DF. I thought the lack of metal might make it more challenging, but no; I'm pretty sure my fort is invincible, but I haven't had a chance to test it. Grrr

raise your wealth and trade a crapload of stuff, sieges should come in no time.

here at rock of ages though, we mauled some kobolds and some flaming skulls, the landmines dont want to be in their pastures, and I tried to pull the lever on some elves but couldnt because of the dwarves actually being busy.

I will be soon at sieges though, I should stop trading for a while, and I should also start my metal industry with only tetrahedrite.

I recently learned about raw duplication.

I am currently trying to find a functional WTF game that I will play on.

Goblins ambushed a hammerdwarf while she was building a road. They sliced open her arm and foot but she managed to scramble away while the archers and her squadmates arrived, among them the Roughness of Rims and the Impervious Hermit. Cow bone bolt. Bonk. All goblins killed. After the fight she laid there until she was hungry, but no one was coming to get her and she wasn't resting. I didn't have an alert active, but once I un-forbade the pile of goblin loot she was on, the mayor brought her to the hospital.

I have 250 or so dwarves now, which is saddening. I was thinking about building a migrant town where I could give them cheap metal armor and then have them face sieges with nothing but their numbers to save them. I could use the children... But then I will have a high dose of Fun. Maybe if I build a waterfall in the dining room I could start chucking children off bridges to their deaths to immunize my dwarves from the bad thoughts..

Work on Project: Screw Trees is proceeding as planned, with the training of siege operators going very well. I WILL HAVE BURNING LIGNITE CATAPULTS!
Although with all resident nasties (Moose, Grizzlies, etc) caged or not in the area, there won't be much to test it on at this rate.

....I'm also swimming in rubies, so I'm gonna start encrusting the hell out of the next batch of beds to use up the stocks of lesser gems, and exporting the rubies to pay for some steel and seeds. The dwarves are getting sick of plump helmet, even though it IS feeding and intoxicating the whole fort.

Oh, and the first (successful) Possession artifact......an amulet. Made of Alder. With some boring picture of trees on it. Not much happens around Aceboats.
