The forgotten beast Nubpo has come! A huge, three eyed giraffe. It has three stubby horns and a gaunt appearance. Its maroon hair is long and wavy. Beware its deadly blood!

Oh dear lord. And accompanying Nubpo are five troglodytes.

And to top it off, Zalisiden is at its lowest strength in years. I've ordered the caverns sealed off, but the question is, will the masons get there in time?

EVEN worse, Nubpo has swiftly disemboweled the mason who had nearly finished the floor... And is on his/her way up to the secondary living space. F***.

I moved the evacuation order upstairs, and Zaneg and her new crew fought with it for a day. It took many injuries before... bleeding out. DAMN IT. One of her new squad (the Virtues of Theatre) was killed when the beast stomped his head in.

I don't want this fort to die as they've only just clawed their way back from the huge and mishandled siege, but i don't want to DFhack my way to cleaning the blood up...

What do I do, Bay 12?

Okay well I finally learned why fortress defense mod is called fortress defense mod.

In related news, my doctors now have something to do when they aren't doing kegstands or staring at walls.

In also related news, the front of my fort now looks like alphabet tomato soup. Vowels are hard to come by.

after my expedition leader fell to a river before I built the bridge, he fell, now he is leveling up his swimming skill so I expect him to become a legendary booze-propelled boat

edit:
he is back up as an adequate swimmer

Imust the forgotten beast has come! A blob composed of grime and filth. Beware its poisonous gas!

BLARGITY BLARG, JUST WHEN MY LEGENDARY COMMANDER is sick in the hospital with the previous fb's syndrome...
I sent three recruits to fight it, all got killed. Now it's Imust Spurtglands the Fatal Sucker.

I shit you not.

A crippled Expert Swordsdwarf just killed Imust Spurtglands the Fatal Sucker in one shot. He stabbed it in the body, chipping it. He now has a title: Thob Amithzas Leshalmosos Sigun, or Thob Delightcrystal the Mournful Tragedy of Tours.

WHUT?
The fatal sucker?
Well, at least the dwarfes seemed to die happy....
In my fort there isn't happening an awful lot, only a little goblinite caravan....

Well, the FB before Imust Spurtglands (:P) has had a third stage of its syndrome take affect. First was bleeding, then loss of use of the affected region. Now, finally, it appears to paralyse.

Those that contacted it on their feet are unable to use their feet, and are suffering from sluggishness. A baby who crawled straight through the mess died instantly from whole body paralysis.

Aaand we've just been ambushed. FUUUUUU.

This world really hates Zalisiden. On top of the world, then a siege ruins our day. Tantrums and berserking kill more, then a FB with poisonous blood, then rampaging by several troggies, then another FB with poisonous gas, then finally an ambush. Darn crap poo.

My trolls are running around in a panic because a herd of elk decided that the fortress looked warm and inviting. My militia commander took out one of them then decided that it was nap time, so now they're camped out in one of my future tree farms interrupting my miners. Except for the one who decided that it needed to go deeper, which is in my meeting area.

Testpage fell. We took down over three quarters of the demons, but there were just too many.

Going back there as an adventurer to "borrow" some cool gear didnt work out too well either.

The Halls of Ambiguity just suffered an ambush of two goblin squads (lasher & axe). The lashers caught my mason/hauler brigade completely by surprise as they were extending the forts wall. Had my peons figured to run back into my fort, I might have survived with zero dwarven casualtes. Alas, being between the fort entrance (with a pastured war dog pack just behind the first curve) and a squad of bloodthirsty greenskins, they figured it would be a good time to go for a run along my forts outer wall straight into the goblin axe squad waiting further ahead.

It took a while for my militia (12 strong) to reach the initial ambush site. Fearing further hidden enemy squads, I stationed my three axe dwarfs at the entrance, while the rest chased at the general direction of the somewhat scattered goblins. In an effort to save the few civilian survivors of the initial ambush, I divided my six sworddwarfs against the full lasher squad while my spears went for the remnants of the goblin axe squad that was cut to shreds by my advancing sword dwarfs. In the end I lost six out of seven haulers, while a single goblin lasher escaped by the maps edge while being chased by half a dozen angry dwarfs.

And now my soon to be countess has just mandated some candy.

All in all a good day.

Those elk took out a miner and a metal sheep before dying. Now I'm waiting for migrants so I can have some expendable shmucks to sacrifice should the need arise.
